    The US authorities must explain how he got the passport. Also what was such a senior immigration officer doing at the front desk. Do document experts normally work at the front desk. I think this looks like a set up

    I think what happened was that Amoateng made a contact with somebody to get him a passport instead of the embassy because before you are deported the authorities make contact with the embassy to issue the individual passport ...

    People who are deported don't stay in line with other passengers,they are taken to the office to be processed,hence the involvement of the Senior Officer.

    I agree completely that it was a set up, possibly the the current administration to gain political points and demonstrate that the NPP government was corrupt to the bone. Leave the poor guy alone to go in shame.

    In the first place, after serving 10 years, his original passport would have expired by the time he was released in 2014. So how come he was travelling on a passport dated in 2009.

    The critical point is the convict will be taken straight from prison to the plane escorted by state officials. Evidence need to come from the US officials to explain how the convict managed to get the he fake passport.

    The original passport was issued by a legimate office, but the 'ntu-hy3-mu' was done by someone else, so Amoateng knew 100% the passport was fake. If he did not know, then a connection man ...
