  They should instruct/advise the various city mayors/authorities to do the following things:
  1. place litter bins all around their town/city and employ people to empty them many times daily;
  2. employ more street cleaners;
  3. re-introduce the old "tankase" scheme and employ more sanitation inspectors to enforce the scheme;
  4. litterbugs must be given heavy on-the-spot cash fines; persistent 'litterers' should be given jail time.
  5. carry these measures through ruthlessly and, I guarantee you, Ghana will be clean again.
  WILL THEY DO THIS THOUGH? I DOUBT IT...I DON'T THINK THEY GIVE A DAMN! THEY ARE ALL JUST "ALL TALK, NO ACTION".

  Do the right things. Sanitation is a problema because those who had been put there to do this job are sleeping. Woke them up and don't disturb Ghanaians. Our taxes what are they for? Poor show, Mahama,Veep and Otumfuor.

  Otumfuo, Nana Asantehene, please settle Bompata chieftaincy dispute case. As a result of this inaction on the part of your Asanteman Council, the town has been left without a queen mother for several years now, while the current illegitimate chief who resides in Accra hardly visits the town.
  
  No wonder there is no development whatsoever going on in this town. Without vision, the people really perish, especially the youth of this town. Is this what the Asanteman Council wishes for the same people they are supposed to serve?
  
  It is amazing how we fail to correct injustice in our society as leaders even if our failure to do so is detrimental to the very society we are expected to serve; yet we cry out loud for justice when the matter at hand adversely concerns us.
  
  It is equally amazing to observe that cases brought before the Asanteman Council can drag for over 40 years without any attempt to call for settlement. Such gross inefficiencies definitely call for urgent need to reform the way the Asanteman Council operates.

  The Sanitation Day initiative is nothing but cover-up for presidential failure.
  Was Ghana this filthy before President JD Mahama became Vice-President and President? His failure as president took Ghana back to the filths of 1970s and 80s. If the Student Taskforce of 1982 led communities across the country in massive clean-ups and told the people of Ghana the communities were dirty because of President Liman's poor leadership, then whose leader failure has brought this current filth and cholera epidemic back to Ghana? While Ghanaians participate in the Sanitation Day they should also call a spade a spade and who the cap fits let him wear it. We embarked on Clean-up Campaigns in the 1980s led by Former President JJ Rawlings. If we did not do search campaigns in the 1990s and 2000s why has it become necessary to institute National Sanitation Days in 2014? IT IS SAD THAT GHANA IN MATCHING BACKWARDS. DON’T CALL THE NATIONAL SANITATION A MILESTONE. IF ANYTHING AT ALL THEN CALL IT MILESTONE OF IDIOCY
