After Mills found Betty Moulds guilty of judgement debt payments the only thing he could do was to move her to the Education dept to continue her looting. Readers would recall that Betty Mounds was the one who awarded SCHOOL building contracts at a triple price of the existing contract sum of some GH 80,000.00. And this happened at a time when they claim inflation was in the single digits. Could you imargin how foolish these criminal liars were. Kuffour built similar structures with 80,000 at a time when inflation was around 14.8% and under Mills it was 240,000 at a rate of 8.8%. And these buffoons turn around to blame the fall of the cedi on some mysterious dwarfs. I don't blame those African countries that have been ripped apart by civil unrest because if you have such buffoons in power who always turn our local elections into a West Africa one
by contracting Togolese Trokosis, Burkinabe and Wangaras from La Cote D'ivoire to vote for them, the " Road To Kigare", is sometimes, a likely option to kick their ass from power.

It would appear that those in control of the NDC, for the time being, were bent on excluding other bona fide members of the Party who may wish to lay democratic claims to who becomes the next flag bearer of the Party by excluding them even before the mortal remains of the demised President were interred. It is also symptomatic of how political party elites in Ghana and Africa worm their way into the confidences of persons perceived as likely to ascend to power positions for purposes of eventual personal economic gain at the expense of the generality of the mass of Party members and the Nation which every President swears to serve under the Constitution

Moreover, the monies collected from workers have virtually disappeared, and that Thomson guy at SSNIT is not to be trusted. He is a vampire, and his brother is the other Thomson that was a CEO at STC, and has been removed this year by its workers for pension funds and other wrongdoings. Until the "Big" Thomson at SSNIT is also removed, the extent of the damage done to workers' pensions in this country will never be known. The monies have been misused under Mr. Thomson and SSNIT is bankrupt.

The only lasting solution to this standoff is to send BNI to SSNIT to investigate and unearth the stinking rot kept in their big cupboards. What they will find will send every Ghanaian into the street calling for "blood to flow". Unfortunately, the government itself seems to have a hand in the malfeasance, and that is a potential impediment that workers would have to face.

Is it normal for you to see people visit offices of politicians to ask for rewards because they voted for them, to the extent that some of these results in a fight between the beggar and the politician? You will only defend this nonsense because you are the politician who is benefitting from the action of this FOOLISH VOTERS. You and I know that these people you are taking advantage of have no aim in life, otherwise they won't accept gifts in exchange for their most valuable assert, their VOTE, which gives them the power to appoint a competent person to help move Ghana forward.

The problem here is, the Minority leader did fail to spell out an alternative, to
make the pension fund yield an INCOME to support itself for generations to
come. Hon Mensah-Bonsu, however, did what he knows best, keep making noises in hope of misleading hard-working Ghanaians to follow his do-nothing investment capability! And if he thinks he has something to share with the STRIKING work forces, he terribly exposes his knowledge power and must
honorably vacate the leadership position he holds.
Investment has two (2) faces and securing the Merchant Bank is a good investment.

It is this same attitude of President John Mahama's govt which has plunged this country into the state it founds itself currently. Things are done haphazardly,misapplication of the country's resources and total mismanagement of the country.Afer doing this, they go to lending institutions for conditions which are hurting to their people and later turn round to tell these same gullible Ghanaians that they love them and they also believe in what they say.What a sad episode.
I want to tell these workers not to relent but to go the full haul to demand and receive what is due them. We have gone past the years of Kwame Nkrumah. The issue the minority raised was why the Government was selling Merchant bank to the lower bidder or Fortis bank partners instead of selling to the South Africans who bid higher. Accodrding to Government this was done to ensure that the bank remains in the hands of locals.

This particular case of Bank of Ghana giving the pension funds to the buyers of Merchant bank (partners of Fortis bank) never came up and this is what I am talking about. In future the minority party needs to carry out more in-depth due diligence whenever they deliberate over matters involving huge sum of money.

If the minority cannot do these checks and balances expected of them in parliament, they must as well stay home everyday.

However, by the nature of the transaction that went done in the looting of merchant Bank via SSNIT through Fortiz, it has been revealed that, the position of the workers as regards to the money having been looted, with details of the tier-two pension funds, not accounted for, the investment profile, the returns, and the breakdown, has been established, and with the gov't all over the place, as to the whereabouts of the funds, it speaks to the fact that, they have been caught pants down, with the hoax of a story, that the money is there.
Clearly the Mahama NDC gov't, has roundly looted the funds, through the Ernest Thompson led SSNIT and created a vehicle via the Mawuli Hedo Fortiz Equity, with operatives from the Nene Adamtey/Mawuli Hedo First Banc outfit, for the reckless thievery of merchant bank for Ibrahim Mahama, who struts into Merchant Bank with the words "the real owners of Merchant Bank have come", using the tier-two pension funds of Ghanaian workers.
Create, loot and share has occurred on a massive gargantuan scale involving the tier-two pension funds of workers, which if it were to have been invested at prevailing market rates should have yielded very, very excellent returns to Ghanaian workers in the region of over Ghc5billion new Ghana cedis.
Ghanaian workers obviously have been shortchanged and ripped off, by the crass looting of the tier-two pension funds and this thievery should not stand, indeed Ghanaian workers should not accept this avarice, this recklessness, this impunity, this thievery of their hard earned funds, because they have worked for every single pesewa of their money, they have put long years into these tier-two pension funds, and looting it without any consequences would not be an acceptable proposition.

The government spokes persons from Ministers down to others in the governing party on the subject, are full of gaping holes and seem unconvincing.
I am inclined to believe the leader of the NPP in parliament. He is a man who has been consistent in all aspects of parliamentary duties. He is not given to shoot from the hips.
It is on the Ndc government, which have paid lip service to have workers' welfare at heart, to come out and reassure them that their meager contributions for their future have not been '419ed'.

Having said that,I think the NPP ought to concentrate to build on their Strategy to wrestle power from NDC Certified Rig Masters. Therefore,I advice the NPP to work on the ff :
Afari-Gyan's reluctance towards electoral forms.
The non availability of clear simple language in the Constitution to Restrain the EC to declare a winner(result) and to go further to Gazette, in case of Strong disagreement or opposition by a Political Party with more than 33 percent the votes cast.
Again,Afari Gyan's simple deception to aid the incumbent to do the trick by restrictions on the FM Radio Stations not to mention the result which unfortunately non of the Political Party hierarchy including the flagship were not Smart enough and able to detect; but agreed to it. FM Radio Stations should be allowed to mention the result on going as declared on the SPOT across the Country in a Real Democratic
dispensation,to eliminate Digging, Cynicism, Suspicion etc.That is the way forward.

NPP are of the view that by so doing the government in power will become more unpopular but God is not asleep, He knows the intent of the heart and they will lose once again.
Elsewhere, opposition parties sometimes support the government in power on some issues for the sake of the nation but not in Ghana. An example is the Scotland independence issue, all the political parties were united against the independence of Scotland and they succeeded. This will never happen in Ghana with NPP in opposition. Whenever they lose election then they were cheated but whe they win then it was free and fair. They will lose again!

For the government to keep the employees in suspense of the knowledge of their accounts till this time is totally wrong.

If the government is able to behave this way, that is why individuals are able to rip off the nation in millions of tax payers money. If the government keep on dragging its feet to disclose where the money is and fails to sent statement of account to the workers as soon as possible, then Mr. Kyei-Mensah's allegation might be true.

If what we heard from Employment Minister - Haruna Iddrisu about the GHC440 million investment yields and the controversial Tier Two Pension Scheme balance is around GHC1.6 billion, wont it be prudent for the government to let workers know what their investments are doing so far?

The issue at stake is not of any partisanship squabbles. The Minority Leader, Parliamentarians and every one in the government who have Ghanaian workers at heart and know the existence of the Fund have every right to come and tell the public the whereabouts of the workers money.

The government should make it crystal clear to the workers where their money is and how much is individuals balance of account to refute the Minority Leader's allegation. If the government drags it feet for coming out as quickly as possible, then Mr. Kyei-Mensah's allegation would mean to be true.

I personally have such investments in where I live and beside the fact that I do get monthly statement of account, I can also login into my account and change my investment portfolios when I see some stocks under performing. In the nutshell, the government do not and should not have authority over workers funds - period.
