What do you expect from NPP?Look at what Busia,Obetsebi Lamptey and J.B.Danquah did to Osagyefo. The Danquah/Busia political tradition now championed by th NPP is evil and subversive.

No it is not as simple as that. Remember the man said our challenges are not unique. But if Ghana is developing and the European countries are developed, that makes our challenges unique, therefore the assessment of the economic situations should not be the same panaceas. Our challenges are unique to us.

The NPP will not be pleased with this. Their main preoccupation now is to see Ghana decline drastically so that a fraudulent & drug addicted character like Akuffo Addo becomes president. It will never ever happen!!.

The Bank of Ghana (BOG) has no Eastern Regional headoffice. The BOG must ask for land from the King of Akyem (Okyehene) to construct this building. I don´t believe that the BOG has accurate data on the economic activity in the at least 12 Akyem districts which make up more than half the population on the region. The GDP and GNI of these Akyem districts are very high. They stem from:
Gold mining
Diamond mining
Cocoa
Oil Palm (the largest in West Africa)
Timber
Software development
etc
The money supply and capital in the at least 12 Akyem districts are wholly inadequate. BOG must remove impediments to the setting up of rural banks in these districts and encourage ADB and GCB to open branches in these districts.
The government must further ensure that wholly owned Ghanaian banks, including rural banks, get at least 80% of the banking revenue.

I hope NPP and their "co-opted" unions are reading this. Now the person who oversees world economies is telling you in no uncertain terms that what Ghana is going through is not unique to Ghana. NPP and the striking unions would paint Ghana as the worst economy on the planet. Even more advanced economies are going through worst crisis yet their people carry on working. They understand that the only way to pull a struggling economy out of trouble is by working hard, contributing their quota and avoiding speculation. No President or cabinet anywhere has ever single-handedly pulled an economy out of difficulties. It requires a concerted effort. And yes, it requires the support of the opposition but some of our friends on the other side do not have the brains to understand that their support is needed to prevent our common "national ship" from sinking. They oppose every effort the government makes to steady the economy, just to make this government appear incompetent so they can win the next elections on the cheap. It is no surprise they're often dubbed nation wreckers. Every time one tries to engage them in meaningful debates they resort to insults, name calling and violence. If they think that is the way to win elections God help them. We are blessed with the most ambitious, cool-headed, humble president in our country's history and Ghanaians will begin to benefit from his leadership very soon. No one wants to be ruled by a hothead.

This man is just being diplomatic. The problems confronting our economy is self created, namely corruption, stealing, mismanagement and wrong priorities. There are so many countries that corruption has eating into the very fabric of society and no one should be proud that this man is coming up with such words. In his home country South Korea the rot we have in our economy will not be tolerated. The solutions to our problems are very glaring and we do not need a Korean to give us words of encouragement.

LET THE TRUTH BE TOLD. GHANA'S ECONOMIC PROBLEM IS THE RESULT OF MISMANAGEMENT BY THIS ADMINISTRATION. THE WORLD BANK KNOWS THAT BUT WON'T BE UPFRONT WITH THIS GOVERNMENT. SUGAR COATING THE TRUTH WON'T DO THE TRICK. JUST LOOK AT THE LEAKS IN THE ECONOMY ALONE - THE ISSUE WITH GHOST WORKERS DRAINING THE ECONOMY; THE MISMANGEMENT BY DISTRICT ASSEMBLIES OF VAST AMOUNTS OF TAXPAYERS MONEY MEANT FOR DEVELOPMENT IN THE DISTRICTS;THE SIPHONING OF GOVERNMENT FUNDS INTO PRIVATE POCKETS AND BANK ACCOUNTS;THE MISUSE OF TAXPAYERS MONIES FOR POLITICAL GAINS; THE ILLEGAL AWARD OF CONTRACTS TO CRONIES AND THE DRAIN OF SUCH ACTIVITIES ON THE ECONOMY; THE ILLEGAL AND SHORT-SIGHTED POLITICIZATION OF THE ECONOMY TO THE DETRIMENT OF RATIONAL GROWTH, NAKED THIEVERY AND RAMPANT, UNCHECKED AND WILFUL CORRUPTION THAT HAS BECOME INSTITUTIONALISED IN THE COUNTY.WORSE OF ALL, THE INEPT AND INCOMPETENT PARLIAMENT THAT DOES NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO. THIS INSTITUTION IS WEAK AND USELESS, SITTING ON THE SIDELINES AND WACTHING THE COUNTRY GOING DOWN THE TUBE. A HORRIBLE AND HOPELESS PICTURE.
