GBC AND MANY MEDIA HOUSES IN GHANA HAVE FOR YEARS BEEN REPEATING THE CONDESCENDING NEWS PRESENTATION STYLE THE WEST HAS PERFECTED IN PORTRAYING AFRICANS AS BACKWARD AND STUPID. DURING THE 7PM NEWS THIS EVENING GTV NEWS CASTERS DESCRIBED EQUATORIAL GUINEA AS THE "POOREST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD". WAS THAT NECESSARY? YOU OFTEN HEAR OR READ IN THE PAPERS THAT SOUTH SUDANESE ARE "ANIMISTS" - A TERM COINED BY WESTERN MEDIA TO DENIGRATE AFRICANS. INCREDIBLY NOT A SINGLE PERSON IN GHANA MEDIA INCLUDING MAJOR DON CHEBE HAS NOTICED THESE STUPID ERRORS. MEDIOCRITY IS ALWAYS OUR LOT! LIKE THE IDIOTS THAT WE ARE, WE KEEP RECITING THAT THE BRITISH ARE OUR COLONIAL MASTERS. DO GERMANS AND JAPANESE KEEP REPEATING THAT AMERICAN FORCES ARE STATIONED ON THEIR SOIL? DO AMERICANS KEEP REPEATING THAT BRITAIN ONCE COLONIZED THEM? DO OUR SO-CALLED JOURNALISTS KNOW THAT 400 MILLION (FOUR HUNDRED MILLION POUNDS)OF GHANAs MONEY HELPED BRITAIN WIN THE SECOND WORLD WAR? WAKE UP, YOUNG MEN! WAKE UP, GHANA MEDIA!
