This is a very new germ so even those who discovered it are still researching to find out if there's the possibility of a mutation!
It is important too to note that, the permanent habitat of this virus is still not known! Bats are suspects but I can tell you that we Africans have lived with these bats and their hydrophobia or rabies for centuries without any extraordinary incidents! To me, Ebola attacks its victims like an individual exposed to nerve agents in a chemical warfare! And this is a fact!
I can bet my last penny that, any information Dr Somuah has about ebola was extracted from the internet or a textbook--just as all of us do! This means, he hasn't done any laboratory research on it! He therefore has to tread cautiously about the informations he dishes out to the general public!
In fact, out of abundance of cautions taken by the Spaniards, a nurse was still exposed to the virus---and we are yet to know how this occurred! The Americans are also still investigating how their nurses caught the virus---even though no family member of Eric Duncan, including his Fiancee, whom he dined, slept on the same bed and even had sex with, caught the disease! So are the paramedics who were exposed to Mr Duncan's pukes, whilst being transported to the hospital! This should tell all of us that, There's so much to be researched about ebola!

You Nailed it.
I'm a doc trained in USA but so many Ghanaian trained docs are still ignorant about viral diseases and it's management as oppose to bacterial infections. I hope these docs talk less and read more.
