Pastor Fran. The truth is that Otabil has failed to live above partisan politics. He has failed woefully to stand by his own living words when he was confronted by it in 2012. I used to listen to his 'sermons' every day until he naively disowned some of his preaches. He did not stop there but went on air to call Ghanaians names that was unbecoming of a man who claimed to be a pastor.

As i said earlier, i was a regular listener to his 'sermons'. I heard him when he said Ghanaians suffering was as a results of bad leadership from 1991 to 2000. When NPP came to power and the corruption and stealing reach a record height, We heard this same man blamed we the Innocent Ghanaians for our woes. Otabil looked us in the face and told us that our suffering will not end until we change our attitude. He never blamed leadership for our woes for 8 good years. This self stile pastor after duping the poor in the name of God almighty turn around 360 degree from 2009 to date blaming the leadership once again. This is where his dishonesty exposed him as a political vampire who uses the pulpit to champion the agenda of his 'me te mi hu" cohorts.

I was born in the 80's, and there has never been a time when we haven't had erratic power supply, shortage of water etc. President after presidents, and clowns called parliamentarians steal our money, build houses for themselves and girlfriends, have millions of our stolen money in foreign accounts. What in God's name will i have to invest in this 'village' called Ghana that produces nothing except electing FOOLS as our leaders? Why does Mahama, Akuffo Addo, Rawlings, Kuffuor, Atta Mess and all the clowns seek medical care abroad when our hospitals are in dire straits. We have been taken for fools for far too long!

You are correct and do not be apologetic for your observation. You have said it all. Nations are supposed to grow and expand their Economies to allow their Citizens enjoy improving living standards. We can hardly say that about Ghana. What we have been seeing is fattening of personal accounts of a few among us in leadership roles.

We have only seen retrogression since the 60's. Our Sanitary System is worse than it has ever been. Our Educational System and the quality of Students we produce today show no significance improvement over those of the 60's other than building more Universities to match the expanding population. Sadly, folks do not even have adequate financial resources to cater for their wards in such Varsities.

Our Health System is nothing but a hollow shell of a grandiose proposition. We have a Health Insurance system that began breaking down before reaching all parts of the Country. Our Energy provision is simply terrible, in spite of all the money we have thrown into the many Hydroelectricity Dam Projects. We are loudly touting our discovery of Oil and still do not have enough Oil to feed our Power Generating Plants and Vehicles, meanwhile a few others have become multi-millionaires by all standards from the Oil deal.

Our Roads are back to square-one in time, where we used to fill our pot-holes in the few tarred roads with red clay, reminiscent of the witty remark by the legendary Radio Broadcaster of the 70s, Akwasi Donkor, that: "S3 3nye Offinso kwan a, anka onim s3 Kuntunkuni tete a, y3 de Kobene na etet3 mu", meaning if it were not for the Offinso Highway, he would not have known that if the Black funeral cloth tears up, we could use the Red funeral Cloth to patch it. That comment he made nearly cost Akwasi Donkor his job at the National Broadcasting Corporation because the Contractor doing that shoddy job on the road was somehow connected to someone of immense Ashanti Regional and National prominence.

We have for too long endured mediocrity, and condonned pervasive corruption that takes away funding of vital projects into private pockets without any accountability.

Enough is enough!! Thank you sister.

I have proposed elsewhere that our level of corruption amounts to blatant human rights violation that should be eligible for prosecution at the World Court at The Hague. I wish our patriotic Lawyers would consider pushing for that.

The reasons why Africans are developmentally years behind the rest of the world is our unquestionable trust in clergymen, be they pastors or mallams....these so called men of God/Allah, are behind the stagnation that stares us in the face....we have made religion the cornerstone of our lives and that is dangerously naive and unhealthy....

Otabil should stay out of politics and everything he does won't be scrutinized, analyzed and criticized....so long as he keeps yapping about the state of our economic...no one says he shouldn't...however, he has taken it to extremes...where was he when the other party ruled Ghana and the very ills he is vehemently condemning now were commonplace?
