The so-called professors needs to go back to school again. These socialists arguments could deceive Ghanaians in the 50s and 60s but they can not do so now. Nkrumah was the first person that introduced debt into this nation by borrowing massively to finance his whims and caprices. It was actually a misfortune that we had such a person as a president immediately after the independence.
Ghana had a reserve of about 1bln dollars when he took over the reigns of government in this country. Do you know the value of one billion dollars in the early fifties? Again, after 2years of Nkrumah's rule, cocoa prices at the world market increased four fold, and he did not do anything to reserve part of the money for a rainy day as the Whitman did. What did he do with all that money? He went on a spending spree both in Ghana and around the world talking big. He even blamed the West for trying to sabotage the economy of Ghana and overthrow his government when the prices later on dropped at the world marked. Finally, before Kwame Nkrumah left this country, he had uncured and burdened our young nation with anther one billion dollar debt.

Now we need a leader who will arrest all the plunders of the country, put them before a just and fair judicial system. Confiscate all their ill-gotten wealth and use the resources for the development of the nation. Do we have such politicians today in Ghana? Come "chopped and go" politicians will not turn the country around because we cannot eat our cake and have it.

The problem is that Africa has No Economic and scientific thinkers. Any fool like J.J Rawlings, the Tsikatas and the Ahwois come to usurp power and call themselves revolutionists. Their only objective is to escape the poverty they were experiencing. The real end of their revolution was to amass wealth. These idiots are all multimillionaires After 25 years. And look at the infrastructure in Ghana? Terribly impassable roads in Ghana, broken health-care systems and political looting of the national coffers!! Does anyone call the post revolution days in Ghana a paradise??
Does anyone think Mahama and his brother Ibrahim have the interest of Ghana at heart? Hell No!! Looting up a bank into bankruptcy and selling it to themselves? Depositing $billions of Ghana's loans in Dubai?? Is there any hope for Africa and Africans?? Hell no!! Do Africans want to be respected among the human race? You make the call.

AFRICANS NEED CHANGE IN ATTITUDES.
WHEN CIVIL SOCIETY APPROACHES THE CHOICE OF A LEADER WITH THE RIGHT MINDSET THINGS BEGIN TO FALL IN PLACE.
PRESENTLY MAJORITY OF THE PEOPLE IN AFRICA ELECT LEADERS BASED ON ONE OR MORE OF THE FOLLOWING
WHAT HAPPENED TO
1. CHARACTER
2. INTEGRITY
3. EXPERIENCE
4.COMPETENCE
A NATION GETS THE LEADERSHIP IT DESERVES.LEADERS COME FROM AMONG THE PEOPLE AND IF THE PEOPLE HAVE ROTTEN ATTITUDES, THEY WILL ELECT ROTTEN PEOPLE.

You are entitled to your opinion as far as me being part of the problem in Ghana. I hate people who are tribalistic and if that makes me a 'problem' in Ghana, then I have achieved my aim because I'm a thorn in tribalistic people's flesh and I intend to keep it that way.
I will keep on hounding them.

There is the urgent need for the politicians in Africa to change their mentality of get-rich-quick through politics by way of corruption and dubious means and naked robbery, at the expense of the masses.
If we are the richest continent in terms of our natural resource endowments, why does poverty still linger in our midst? The answer is simple:crook politicians stealing our monies and dumping them into foreign accounts thereby depriving the continent of the funds for socioeconomic development.Collecting percentages for contracts and awarding them to the wrong contractors who lack the logistics for efficient execution of the contracts.Fronting for foreign companies to siphon our resources to the detriment of the masses.Shortsighted leaders who lack the wherewithal to utilize the tremendous human and natural resources for socioeconomic change. It looks so funny.Much of the financial resources of the developed countries are earned from the 'dark' continent through investments by multinational corporations. So if our natural resources are making them rich, why can we not enrich ourselves first? While not losing sight of the pertinent fact that we cannot exploit or explore our natural resources with arrows, bows, canoes, cutlasses, hoes, axes and pickaxes and ,as a consequence , must contract for their technology, this can be done through an
open competitive bidding system, devoid of the prepayment of percentages to be saved in obscured accounts abroad, for the competition to give us a better deal.It is ripe for Africa to wise up.If we want to see significant and sustainable socioeconomic development,we must embrace capitalism. The only path to economic prosperity and social harmony. The deplorable conditions in which some of the African countries find themselves today can be attributable to the socialism mania at the time of independence.Socialism does not guarantee economic prosperity. It is the ugly head of socialism which has come back to roost in the form of the choking corruption in the public sector.
Africa should have better things to offer than the abject poverty, famine and war preyed on by the western media persistently.
Talk is cheap.
