  It is said that while some districts pay high electricity tariffs others pay next to nothing. It is also said that within the same neighborhoods in the Accra/Tema Megapolis tariffs vary from house to house.

  Gov't must not give in against bullying by the TUC. Major investment needed for provision of electricity and water for the benefit of the masses would not be realised if tariffs are kept low to the extent of making it unprofitable for private investors. Ghanaians must be aware that utility charges everywhere in the world have been increasing; they are too low in Ghana, it is not worth investing in them.

  A gov't can loot over $5billion dollars within 3months of an election year, whilst critical infrastructure like badly needed energy to jumpstart any manufacturing and industrial growth has not been addressed, and turn around to increase utility prices on a whim, even when the utility service provision is very poor or at best non-existent, and expects the citizenry to just sit there like lame ducks, should have another thing coming.
