I like Mrs Gladys Asmah as a person, and I believe all the good things her colleagues are saying about her. However, being the founding Minister of Women and Children’s Affairs, she would have vehemently disagreed with me if she had heard me suggest to the government that the ministry she founded should be scrapped.
The Ministry of Women and Children’s Affairs is one of the ministries created to give jobs to the "Girls & Boys". And if it is scrapped, the proceeds would be used for more tractors, fishing nets and sprays for cocoa farms to further improve our economy and better the lives of people at the grassroots level.

I feel sick whenever I read such glowing tributes about any dead person in Ghana. We tend to exaggerate the virtues of every dead person as if Ghana is full of saints without any single shortcoming or regretable mistakes in their lives. The hypocricy is sickening to say the least and it ought to stop some day when true tributes about any dead person will be read.

Democracy lives and thrives in Ghana. Its politicians argue passionately for their views to be heard. Yet in good times or bad times they come together as one people. It is most inspiring.
Long live Ghana.
