The Takoradi Poly Students who were sacked for applying with fake certificates must be prosecuted in a court of competent jurisdiction. Just sacking them is not enough.
Nowadays businesses and government organisations have stopped demanding Secondary School Certificate or Basic Education Certificate.
Each of these certificates are important. For example for many tertiary graduates the only certificate that can tell whether one can speak good English or whether one has adequate knowledge of Mathematics is the Secondary School Certificate.
Similarly the only certificate that can tell whether a tertiary graduate has basic knowledge of Ghanaian history, culture, agriculture and the basic geography of West Africa is the Basic Education Certificate.

"Meanwhile, some Minority Members of Parliament in the Eastern Region, particularly the MP for Ayensuano, Samuel Ayeh-Paye and MP for Nsawam/Adoagyiri, Frank Annoh-Dompreh, have raised serious concerns saying they did not understand why the government did not give priority to a major road like the Accra-Kumasi highway portions of which are still under construction six years after the contract was awarded".
This is pathetic, Ghana. This is not the first time monies have been allotted to the construction of roads in the country - and all these have been approved by parliament which means both the NDC, NPP and the others from the other parties all agreed to the selection of these roads and of course no one bothered about the Accra - Nsawam - Kumasi -Tamale Highway. Can the votes be made available so that concerned citizens may know who voted for what.
Our so called "Honorable" members of Parliament, who are supposed to do the best for the country are doing basically nothing at their posts. Just consider the foodstuff that comes to the capital from the Northern part of the country. Do we even know that if our roads are very good, food will be very cheap all over the country? Do these parliamentarians know that if the major roads Accra-Kumasi - Brong Ahafo- Tamale roads are made first class, the country would be saving a lot of money each and everyday from the patching of roads that are washed away the very next day by a rainstorm.
Lets put up our thinking caps and do that which is right for mother Ghana and her children.
Not only the parliamentarians but ex President Kuffour should also be blamed - if not 90% of the time.
He thought that fixing all the back roads in the Volta Region was going to get his party the votes for them to continue to be in power but thanks be to God, the Voltarians were smart to show the party that they were no fools to vote for the NPP. Its been over 8 years after he left power and still, the most important Highway (Inter- Regional)in the country that needed to be constructed is still in the poorest of state. Where is Kuffour's legacy?
You people all hated Kwame Nkrumah but you all will bear with me that the slogan -Nkrumah never dies- is sounding louder these days than even when he was alive.
Ghana, let us make our parliamentarians and our Presidents accountable for their work and if they cannot give any sensible report, they have to be imprisoned. After all they get paid to work for the Nation and if nothing good is coming from their services, why don't we hold tham accountable?

Yep, just in time for the NDC campaign expenses. Why would they even start new road works when they have not even completed those that are in progress and rendered immotorable. A case in point. The so-called Eastern Corridor has been unusable for the past two years for lack of money. Whole food-producing communities have been cut off. Reports say the Chinese contractors have even sent up tents in the middle of the roads. And this are places they impregnate the girls - under tent in the middle of the road.

After reading about the massive corruption in the government payment system and back-handers collected everyday by government officials, the government should humbly support the BNI to unearth for them where the leaks in public coffers are, so that they recover them and use the funds for public goods. More, the size of government employees should be halved and the displaced persons should be retrained under massive training and vocal programs. The private sector should be encouraged through tax incentives to hire the newly trained and vocal graduates.

Why is this Government so intent on sinking the Nation in debt? How much more Loans do we need for the Administration to realize we have had enough of debt load?
Meanwhile, we can hardly find anything of substantial significance that the Loans have been used for.
Schools still are left under 'Baobab trees'. Hospitals still struggle with inadequate supplies. Staff of many Institutions, especially the Education sector, still have not been paid their salary arrears. Roads are largely neglected. Our Cocoa is left in the rural buying centers to rot, encouraging Smuggling of the produce to neighboring Countries. Our Cities are drowning in sheer garbage. Our primary International Airport in the National Capital, Accra, remains a bare dusty, dry, red soil parchy ground only befitting a temporary rural Air-strip.
Meanwhile, Officials of the Government and their cronies are said to be swimming in looted State Funds and building or buying themselves humongous modern Mansions and luxury Vehicles, including private Jets. Our Gold is smuggled out of the country in Plane Loads. Our forests have been decimated and now we are to import Wood to build our homes and furniture. Forestry personnel are under siege and daily face fatal risks from encroachers and poachers doing illegal lumber and wildlife extractions, respectively.
What in God's name has the Council of State been doing all these years? For a Middle-Class Country as we claim to be now overtaken by Cholera of all diseases and resulting in fatalities, in this day and age, indicts the Administration, the Parliament and the Council of State. These sets of leaders have unforgivably failed us.
I am not sure whether the very sounding of the bell to announce that we discovered Oil was a clarion call for these heartless greedy folks to rush to grab and loot as much of our State funds as they could before the rest of us wake up to our senses for having made a terrible mistake to give them the chance to lead us.
The deafening silence of the Council of State on all the Corruption and gross mishandling of our Economy, and the continuing decay of our Infrastructure with its attendant lack of Utility Services, especially Water and Electricity, is tempting to demand for an immediate recall of all our MPs, the dissolution of the Council of State and the resignation of the Government in Power.
Were the Executive any serious it would declare a state of emergency to revamp its Cabinet, sack all the heads of unproductive Institutions, and possibly call for early Elections to have better team of patriots to take over the governance of the Nation.
Having been chided by the Media and the Public only last week for borrowing about $29 BILLION in nine months with nothing to show for, we have just heard the Administration is poised to borrow additional $2.9 BILLION!! For what? To share among its cronies, again?
I bet we need fire-brand Lawyers who could push the Hague to consider rounding up our Leaders for crimes against Humanity. If the Head of CHRAJ of all Institutions could be so vulnerable to such gross indiscretion as we recently learnt, what other Institution can currently be trusted in Ghana to help straighten up our mess? One might not be far from right to suggest that the Administration seems to have deliberately sat aloof to let all others grab as much as they can from the State so that no one would have the moral justification to go after it as it scoops its lot.
Yet, the leadership has the audacity to claim to be Christian. What an effontery! Our Leadership cannot hide behind the cloak of the benefit of forgiveness-upon-confession-of-sins in the Christian Doctrine to keep looting until there is nothing else to loot. Even God has His limit of patience, and would not allow persistent sinning go unpunished. And we, other Humans of Ghanaian Citizenry, may soon act to reflect our fill for the Government's blatant neglect of Justice for the Nation.
While the IMF has not even finished its making its decision on whether or not to bail us out, the Administration is ready to borrow some more from elsewhere? What does the Administration think that would do to our Economic rating by the Fitchs and Moodys, etc., and the level of our GHC?
We were hoping the IMF bailout were to mark the ceiling-off of all inept and corrupt management of our finances. And here we are hearing the Administration is set to press the Accelerator down harder to rush us into the pit!
Enough is enough!!
Long Live Ghana!!!

The total sum of money combined from the Eurobond, cocoa loan and this loan amount comes up to $4.9billion dollars.
If you cast your minds back, in the last 2-3months of 2012, a similar such amount vanished into thin air and till today, the "dwarves" at BoG vaults have not managed to tell Ghanaians what they did with it or where they took it.
That amount together with other looted funds was what finally culminated in the statement the "meat has been chewed to the bones" and "Ghanaians have short memory" so we are back to square one again with a similar quantum of money, and the "dwarves" we dare say are jumping up and down with glee in the BoG vaults. Are we saying that those road projects did not have funding and that the contractors pre-financed those projects from 2009 till now? Ghana wake up!!!
