This country would soon go under the auction block.

There is a place where you can be sure that you would find a representative (MP) from every part of Ghana year round gathered together to deliberate on the future and the current state of this country. Where is that? Parliament house of course. If there is such a place then how should the place and the people there be treated in the scheme of things? What priority should such a house be given in the governance of the country? If there is such a place then what kind of people should we send there and how should we assess their performance?
Parliament must also provide a readily available renovated residence in Sakumono to a newly elected parliamentarian. Accommodation in Accra/Tema is expensive and not every MP-elect may have the money to rent a house as he or she may have exhausted his or her funds running for office.

This flat and bungalow allocation mentality must be abolished. It is too colonial in mentality. By the way making laws or being an MP is not a privilege rather a service. Most of the current caliber of members of parliament do not deserve the to be there in the first place. They don't understand their roles neither do they have an iota of idea on law making. They are yeh yeh shouters. Infact they do not deserve any special favour. They are paid salaries for nothing. It is enough for them. They are a Rubber stamp or appendages of the executive so they have no meaningful role for the development of the country.
