Mr Bishop, there had been thousands of calls on this same person to initiate high level corruption investigations. Yet they have all been falling on deaf ears. His brother took over a national bank at the time he could not settle his indebtedness. He single handedly selected Northern crooks to milk the nation through GYEEDA, AZONTONGBA SUBA. Woyomey nearly finished us under Mills/Mahama supervision. Thanks to K Ajapong. Many more are hunging on their necks. The recent one being CHRAJ. He cannot absolve himself from all these as he is directly linked to them.

I normally can see a lot of sense in what you write and post on here, Abeeku but I think with the above quote, you fell off the wagon this time around.

So in plain and simple words, you are telling everyone that two wrongs can make a right as far as political corruption in Ghana politics goes?

And even more seriously, you are telling us to accept it and live with it, Abeeku?

I don't see any logic in your thinking regarding this case, my friend.

Does it cross your mind that perhaps it's because we have come to accept corruption in higher places of government as "normal" is the reason why it gets repeated by every government?
Give me your honest opinion if it's not the right of Ghanaians at a point in time to start demanding accountability from these hooligans we refer to as our political leaders and that anytime is just as good as now?

Do you remember the famous Akan adage:

"Ma mboa ebedzi ko no, wondzi ko. Na ma w'aka no, ye bebo ho ban"?

Literal translation:

'Whatever the animals had eaten or destroyed, let it go, but we would build a wall or fence to protect whatever is left from suffering the same fate'

I personally don't care very much for either the NDC or NPP because in my view, they are the same animal painted in two different colours. Their appetites for the wanton rape and destruction of Ghana's riches and wealth is the same for all political intents and purposes.

My only wish is that somewhere in the constitution, there was a clause which will allow the EC to disqualify both parties from the next elections because of selfish attitudes and response to reports of corruption in their individual governments(past or present).

Perhaps this will allow the lesser known or less popular parties the opportunity to showcase their worth and what alternatives they can offer Ghanaians.

Having a clause like that or one that allows for a recall of all candidates found to be ill-fitted for the job, enshrined in the constitution might be a deterrent.

I'm not a constitutional law expert so I will leave them to take this one up if there's one reading this.

In conclusion, I think that Ghanaians shouldn't just give up trying to stop corruption just because previous governments had done it forever, Abeeku.

Isn`t it a shame,how socalled leaders of Ghana have ruined this Country?
When DR Nkruma decleared on the 6 March,1957,that Ghana has been freed ,we had so much hope for the future.But,due to unpatrotic,selffish,wicked,corrupt,greedy,egoistic and low intellict elements in society who call themselves politicians,Ghana has been swang on its kness.
If our socalled leaders were intelligent,they will not be so self seeking and corrupt.Because all the great people who lived on this Earth,didn`t make their names through corruption,they left behind knowledge,which posterity have built on,which has made the lives of their generations better.
NDC are taking advantage of the igronance of most Ghanaians to induce them with money,to stay in power,even thogh they know they don`t intend to bring this Country forward.
Rawlings and the NDC have ruled this Country more than anybody else,yet the best they can do is what we see today in Ghana,"dumso dumso"IMF,World Cup desaster,the list goes on and on.

We have news media LOUDER on the pleasure of sex rather than encouraging dignity in hard work. They can advertize aphrodisiacs without all the colourful embellishment as is done in advance societies. The list goes on and on.
Having said all these, as the media is populated with knowledgeable professionals, things will get better.
