They are so into themselves, they actually believe that Ghanaians like them. I hate these people because of their incorrigible tribal nature. I don't trust NDC politicians, and i would think that the average and wise Ghanaian will simply vote in a third party, or at worst replace the opposition party. CPP should focus and replacing the opposition as the largest, and with such small steps perhaps take 2020. But you know, in the jungle everybody is greedy, hyenas can steal from the mighty lion, if they gang up on one.

Check the legal records. You'll be astonished to realise that the most cited and celebrated name in the Ghana Law Reports is Nana Addo, well ahead of Tsatsu. Indeed, there are some high profile cases in which Nana and Tsatsu were on the same side, with Nana as the lead counsel.

I've always maintained that these two are the best lawyers in Ghana. But whereas Tsatsu was more academic, Nana was by far the best trial advocate of his generation.

Both Tsatsu and Nana Addo trained many of the leading jurists in Ghana, including Judges, Tsatsu through his lectures at Legon, Nana through practical training in his chambers, the best in the country in the last 40 years. Justice Sophia Akuffo, Akoto Ampaw and Yoni Kulendi were some of the many celebrated lawyers who passed through Nana's hands.

Yes, Nana Addo had Third Class in Economics at Legon before branching into professional training in law at the Inns of Court School of Law in the UK. But that's the more reason why I have a lot of respect for what this man has achieved. Perhaps, it was the desire to put the Third Class in Economics at Legon behind him that spurred him on to distinguish himself in legal practice. There are many lawyers in Ghana with First Class degrees, including in law. How many of them can boast what Nana Addo has managed to achieve for himself?

Nana Akufo-Addo was raised in Ga Maami (Accra Central) and in the Nima area of Accra. His father's residence, Betty House at Korle Wokon in Accra, was effectively the headquarters of the country's first political party, the United Gold Coast Convention (UGCC), after it was formed at Saltpond on 4 August 1947. Three of the "Big Six" — the founding fathers of Ghana — were his relatives: J. B. Danquah (grand uncle), William Ofori Atta (uncle) and Edward Akufo-Addo (the third Chief Justice of Ghana and later ceremonial President of the Republic from 1969 to 1972), who was his father.

Nana Akufo-Addo received his primary education at the Government Boys School and went to Orielly Secondary School, and later at the Rowe Road School (now Kimbu), both in Accra Central. He went to England to study for his O?Level and A?Level examinations at Lancing College, Sussex. He returned to Ghana in 1962 to teach at the Accra Academy before going to read Economics at the University of Ghana, Legon, in 1964, earning a BSc(Econ) degree in 1967.[2][3] He subsequently studied law in the UK and was called to the English Bar (Middle Temple) in July 1971.[3][4] Akufo-Addo was called to the Ghana bar in July 1975[4][5] along with notable Ghanaian politicians such as Nana Ato Dadzie and Tsatsu Tsikata.

Legal and business career[edit]
Akufo-Addo stayed in France for three years as a lawyer at the now-defunct New York-based international law firm Coudert Brothers. Apart from the welcome exposure to the dynamics of international corporate transactions, his stay in France also made him fluent in French.

In 1975, he returned home to Accra to continue with his legal career. He joined the chambers of U. V. Campbell from 1975 to 1979, and in 1979 co-founded the law firm Akufo-Addo, Prempeh & Co, which has become one of the most prominent law firms in Ghana.

Some Ghanaian lawyers who passed through his law firm are among the most outstanding lawyers at the Ghanaian Bar today. They include Sophia Akuffo, Justice of the Supreme Court, Joyce Darko, Daniel Afari Yeboah, Philip Addison, Joe Ghartey, a former Attorney General and Minister for Justice, Alex Quaynor, Frank Davies, Kweku Paintsil, Ursula Owusu, Atta Akyea, Akufo-Addo’s successor as MP for Abuakwa South Constituency, Akoto Ampaw, Yoni Kulendi, Kwame Akuffo, Kwaku Asirifi, and Godfrey Dame.

Akufo-Addo has served on the boards and committees of a number of political, legal, and social organizations in the country. He was the first Chairperson of DHL, Ghana Limited; Chairperson, Kinesec Communications Company Limited, publishers of The Statesman and the first Chairperson of the Ghana Committee on Human and Peoples' Rights.

There was corruption during the NPP reign, there was corruption in Rawlings Admin. and this present day admin. We need good governance all around, for the people of Ghana, not some ignorant anointed chief or leader of some warring factions.

Quite frankly, Ghana will be better off with this corrupt Mahama second term, than Akuffo Addo coming in to spend 8 years, reinventing corruption and a wheel.

Much of the bad governance and corruption is perpetuated by ordinary citizens, civil servants of all tribes and political affiliation, don't blame Mahama alone, take responsibility for your abject ignorance!

First and foremost, Ghana is where it is because of the leaders we have been cursed to have since the infamous 1966 coup. I can excuse people being timid and afraid of their own shadow when the likes of J.J. Rawlings and other idiots with military supplied guns were running rough shots over Ghana. It was wise then not to irritate idiots in the military with guns and orders to shoot without questions.

However, there is no single excuse for members of parliament of the republic that agreed and signed off on a constitution and operations of government that gave rise to the sham we have today where absolute powers reside with ignorant presidents. If this dishonorable Mensa Bonsu has the guts to want to stand up and be counted, he should lead parliament to curtail the powers of the presidency while it provided oversight authority to parliament so Ghana's expenditures can be fully debated with members forced to record their respective votes for or against expenditure of government.

If the presidency of John Mahama is corrupt or incompetent it is because of corrupt and contemptible idiots roaming the halls of parliament who cannot do their jobs to curtail him. But president Mahama’s seeming incompetence or corrupt affairs is no worse than what Kufour, an Oxford educated leader of the NPP, did while in the presidency. It is under the NPP of today and a few dead ones that ushered in Ghana@50 to spend millions of money we did not have while most schools in Ghana did not have indoor toilet facilities. For members of the minority party (be it NPP or NDC) in Ghana to collect monthly wages and associated benefits without valuable work product is the height of insult to Ghana but for a hypocritical bald headed idiot Mensa Bonsu to make shameless remarks that exposes the incompetence of his chamber, the parliament, is to know we truly breed fools for leadership roles in Ghana.

Akufo Addo has so many scandals around him which he has refused to come clean off all these will come to haunt him when the chips are down. He should continue wasting his time and the money he has made in politics for which he continues burning down tax payers' buildings (The Foreign Affairs Building and the old Parliament House, a few to mention) as cover ups in the Diplomatic Passports case and also the recent Drill Ship case. The law school issue is not over and will also be brought to the front burner. There are so many negatives for which he will be tasked to come clean, what a baggage to carry.
