One day at church, John asked Marie out to dinner. She accepted and on Friday he picked up Marie and took her to dinner at a very nice restaurant. When they sat down, John said, "Hey, Marie, would you like a cocktail before dinner?" "Oh, no, John," said Marie. "What would I tell my Sunday School class?" Well, John was setback a bit, so he didn't say much until after dinner. Then he reached in his pocket and pulled out a joint. "Hey, Marie," said John, "Would you like to get high?" "Oh, no, John," said Marie. "What would I tell my Sunday School class?" Well, John was feeling pretty low after that, so he just got in his car and was driving Marie home when they passed a motel. He'd struck out twice already, so he figured he had nothing to lose. "Hey, Marie," said John, "how would you like to stop at this motel with me?" "Sure, John, that would be nice," said Marie. Well, John couldn't believe his luck. He did a hard U-turn and drove back to the motel and checked in with Marie. The next morning John woke up first. He tenderly shook Marie and said, "Marie, I've got to ask you one thing, what are you going to tell your Sunday School class?" Marie said, "The same thing I always tell them......... There is a place where you can be sure that you would find a representative (MP) from every part of Ghana year round gathered together to deliberate on the future and the current state of this country. Where is that? Parliament house of course. If there is such a place then how should the place and the people there be treated in the scheme of things? What priority should such a house be given in the governance of the country? If there is such a place then what kind of people should we send there and how should we assess their performance?

Parliament must also provide a readily available renovated residence in Sakumono to a newly elected parliamentarian. Accommodation in Accra/Tema is expensive and not every MP-elect may have the money to rent a house as he or she may have exhausted his or her funds running for office.

everybody is housed! In the USA only the president and govenors and military and prisoners have housing provided! Congress(parliment) rents or buys from their Salary! Police and Fire and teachers rent/buy from their salary... ...

Police and Fire and teachers rent/buy from their salary...If you can't afford the rent you either commute(travel by car/bus/train) or You find a new job in small town where rent or land to buy is cheap...You already give MP's free fuel for their car, You give them cars..why can't they either rent or commute??? Getting rid of gov housing would save millions of dollars per year

If Prof Asare denies that there is thousand of proven medicinal benefit in the use of marijuana, then he is totally out of touch with current medical practice. That is why some states in the US have legislated for the use of medicinal marijuana. I understand Britain is doing same. Mr Akrasi Sarpong should start advocating for the decriminalization of marijuana use and possession. It does not make sense for people to languish in jail for possessing a blunt of marijuana. People arrested for small amount of marijuana possession should be slapped with a hefty fine and jail time should beserved for those with large amount for sale and distribution.

If he is concerned with welfare issues then he should be worried about the 100s in jail for smoking it. At the moment the law is simply making the police rich by collecting bribes from arrested smokers. The only people who end up in jail are the poor ones

The health care delivery system in Ghana is very inadequate and substandard, do you have any idea of the impact smoking marijuana has on the brain? Wise up and stop spreadin lies. Ghana is not ready to legalize marijuana and smoking marijuana does not cure any cancer or any disease (stop deceiving yourself).
