“Nothing can stop Akufo-Addo from becoming prez” – Kofi Jumah

Former New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament [MP] for Asokwa, Maxwell Kofi Jumah has strongly indicated that, “nothing can stop Nana Addo from becoming President” in 2016.

He explained that, Ghanaians are now “fed up” with the Mahama-led NDC government after their shambolic governance which has left the citizenry in distress.

“2016 is not for Mahama (President). Nana Addo must be the President of Ghana. This is Akufo-Addo’s time to be President,” he opined.

Speaking on OKAY FM’s morning show Ade Akye Abia outspoken Kofi Jumah also known as “Kofi Ghana” advised the NPP to maintain the party’s two-time Presidential candidate, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo if they “really want to occupy the Flagstaff House (Seat of Government)” in 2016.

Commenting of the upcoming flagbearership contest on October 18, Kofi Jumah is of a view that, Alan Kyeremateng who is the main contender to Nana Addo must withdraw from the contest.

According to him, it was evident that NPP faithfuls have settled on Nana Akufo-Addo owing to the outcome of the party’s recent Super Delegates’ Congress.

Nana Akufo-Addo polled 80.78 percent of the total votes cast during the congress which was held across the country in eleven polling stations, with Alan Kyeremateng his closest contender, garnering 7.98 percent.

Kofi Ghana, a former enthusiastic supporter of Alan Kyeremateng, said the shrewd politician who he described as his brother (Alan) should accept that the party’s members prefer Nana Akufo-Addo as flagbearer and president of the country.

“If Alan Kyerematen listens to my good counsel and strategizes well, then definitely in the near future he would have the chance to lead the party as Presidential candidate,” he noted on OKAY FM.
