With the ever increasing abundance of PHD (Permanent Head Damage), everyone can claim the title of a "professor"!
Sure, you made your point, MR PROF, but at the same time, exhibiting the characteristics of Ghanaian professors by not offering any intellectual solution!
Isn't it naive on your part to claim that, " Close elections in Ghana are the cause for “cheating”"?
Is this the best explanation you can offer? Are you trying to say the Electoral Commission COULD "cook" more votes so the elections are never "close" anymore?
The most important fact I expected you to point out is the incessant corruption in the country which has inadvertently, crawled into politics and indeed, the Electoral Commission!
Ghana is not alone in this shameful dock! This is very common about African leaders!
Don't you remember the elections in Nigeria where Obasanjo nullified the results and hand-picked his ailing predecessor Umaru
Yar' Adua as president in 2007---even though he knew he couldn't do the job because of his kidney conditions?
Those elections were never "close", by any means of the word---yet Obasanjo employed his "recipe" and declared the results his way!
The Ghanaian populace, hold professors in a very high esteem and seek consultations from them in most aspect of nation building in this difficult times so please endeavor to be productive!

Brilliant,Abizzy Bey!!! You couldn't have put it better.
Since our independence,we've allowed so called "Doctors,Professors to run our national affairs and look at where we are in attending to simple chores of government like collecting trash in our capital city. It's taken these Doctors and Professors half a century to come up with the idea of supplying huge trash bins to collect trash in our capital city.Wow!
The mayor of Accra recently came up with his solution of deterring public defecation by giving offenders lashes ie if the authorities can apprehend them. And he is one of those with a PhD.God knows in what field. Now here is my simple solution to eradicating the filth that's drowning Accra.
How about making it part of the building code in the city that a dwelling would not be certified for habitation unless it has a specified number of toilets in it,huh? That should also apply to commercial joints like gas stations, restaurants chop bars, akpeteshie bars and all stores that inter react with consumers.Such a code should be STRICTLY ENFORCED without fear or favour. But knowing Ghana, those employed to enforce such a strict code would turn it into their "cash cows".They are the ones who'll take bribes from the scaffolds and allow them to circumvent the law.
Now Professor, how about that for a solution to a strangling problem facing our capital city, huh?

We all know that NDC is a thievery organization and they are well vexed in stealing than any other institution the world over. We are all aware that the stole the last two elections because if you have to ask a hundred people of their affiliation to any of these parties, you see that 80% of them are in NPP but the results always go in favor of NDC the thievery party. That alone is an indication that they are very good at stealing. NDC is satanic party because everything they do is satanic.

"Our last two general elections however have tested our capacity to hold on to that reputation" Why? Because, your recalcitrant NPP lost in those two elections and created uncertainty! Even when they superintended the 2008 elections and lost they raised tantrums. For you and your NPP goons, Ghana's democracy will never be complete unless Ghana becomes a one party state with NPP always winning elections. The same Afari Gyan has declared NPP victors twice and NDC twice, yet you guys always bastardize him whenever you loose. I wish next time you will talk about the creeping culture of sour loosing in our democratic dispensation.

Prof., your argument is weak. There is ALWAYS political rivalry between main political parties everywhere there is democracy. This is the case between Republicans and Democrats in USA; it is also the case between the Tories and Labour in the UK. But in all these other democracies, the existence of political rivalry does not create conducive environment for cheating and electoral malpractice.
Cheating and electoral malpractices are prevalent in Ghana because Ghanaians are selfish and corrupt by nature.

I always feel sad when i read Ghana news and listen to the various radio Stations, especially for comments from politicians and their followers. So when can we learn to stop insulting each other and talk about issues which will improve the lives of Ghanaians and the country as a whole? Please, let's say goodbye to these kind of practices? Well, i also blame some of the lazy Ghanaian journalists and presenters who do not have the necessary IQ to create and invent new programs;they discuss politics 365 days daily.
