  We all have plenty, excuses that is.Well designed fiber optic networks use a ring architecture, where user traffic and link integrity signals are transmitted from the optical switches in one direction(clockwise or anti-clockwise) at a time. A cut anywhere on the fiber ring, causes link integrity check failure. Within a second, the optical system will route traffic in the opposite direction in order to restore connectivity.
  
  I seriously believe these foreign firms are finding reasons not to pay taxes. The government must have its own consultants advocating on its behalf.
  
  Come on guys, we are in the 21st century where ICT has become the bedrock of development, so we must not tolerate any form of failure in that sector of our economy. The solution to such disaster is two-pronged. Our government must pass laws that incarcerate saboteurs of such critical infrastructure, while the telecommunications companies raise awareness among all citizens.

  These companies forget that we now have something called Google to fact-check these absurd claims. Who hasn't heard of the ring star architecture? Pretty soon they will say our weather makes it difficult for them to operate these fiber optic networks...perhaps it rains too much during Ghanaian Summer... hahaha
