Monkeys are still monkeys no matter what you try to do for them , so leave them with their guns to kill their future children.

It is wrong to implement such a policy in modern day Ghana. It seems all the work that individuals such as Emmnuel KWESI ANING, Prosper Addo, NGOs such as Fosda, IANSA, West African Action Network on Small Arms, and Ecowas had no bearing or impact on policy. Buy back guns never worked in the great United States, nor in Latin Anerica or Europe. It is not recommended by the UN nor Ecowas. The UN Programme for Action on Small arms is clearly against dashing out cash for illegal weapons. It fuels further weapons flow into centres of armed violence.
I recommend the book Introduction to small arms by a Ghanaian Napoleon Abdulai for the attention of the Minister and the DCE for Bawku. Also need to consult the small arms experts at the Kofi Annan Centre in Accra and Dr. Cyriaque of the E kwas Small Arms control unit. There is too much ready information for the government to be making this mistake. And finally the Chief of Staff Dr. Prosper Bani is or was an expert on this issue while working in Geneva. Good morning. Wrong policy, would not work!

This plan is a reward for northern brothers to buy back new guns. What has happened to gun laws which is being enforced in other regions in same conflict.Office expect and office ministers from north should rethink, they will not be in power forever. The UN don't subscribe to this plan and the Woyongos,Bombandes,Ayarigas the IGP who have worked on conflict resolution desk at the UN hq and in conflict zone around the world knows better,so why this unworkable but rewarding plan for lawless killers.Just reinforced gongon.Thanks.
