FELLOW GHANAIANS, ITS NOT ONLY KORLE-BU THAT HAVE MAFFIA PHARMACIES & GOLD DIGGERS. ALSO EFFIA NKWANTA HOSPITAL, IS EVEN MORE MAFFIAS & GOLD DIGGING HOSPITAL IN GHANA THAN KORLE-BU.
I WISH THE AUTHORITIES TAKE AN URGENT AND EXPRESS STEP TO BRUSH OUT ALL THOSE CORRUPT DOCTORS AND DIRECTORS MANAGING THE HOSPITAL. I THEREFORE CALL ON THE GOVERNMENT TO START FULL INVESTIGATION TO THE DECANDENCE OF EFFIA NKWNATA HOSPITAL.
MY REASON OF SAYING THIS IS THAT IN THE EARLY WEEKS OF THIS VERY MONTH JULY, 2014 ONE OF THE JUNIOR BROTHERS OF THE WRITER WAS URGENTLY RUSHED TO EFFIA NKWANTA HOSPITAL FOR UNKNOWN SICKNESS. ACCORDING TO THE THE FINDINGS AFTER DIAGNOSIS THE FOUND SOME BLOOD SOMEWHERE IN THE STOMACH, THUS MAKING THE STOMACK INCREASING IN SIZE. THE SAID DOCTOR ADMITTED THAT HE CAN OPERATE AND REMOVE THAT BLOOD HEAP. BUT HE IS DEMANDING ONE THOUSAND GHANA CEDIS(1,000.00 GH CD)BEFORE HE CAN MAKE THE OPERATION. MY FAMILY COULD ONLY AFFORD SIX HUNDRED (600.00) GH CD)GHANA CEDIS, AND THE DOCTOR MUST "HOLD IT" AND JUST DO THAT OPERATION TO REMOVE THAT BLOOD HEAP AND LATER THEY BRING THE REST. THIS "SMALL BOY" DOCTOR BLATANTLY REFUSED TO TAKE THAT SIX HUNDRED CEDIS. SO I THE SENIOR BROTHER HAD TO BE INFORMED ABOUT THIS SERIOUS "LIVE AND DEATH STORY". WITHOUT DELAY I THE SENIOR BROTHER, HAD TO "RUSH SOME FUNDS" THROUGH THE BANK TRANSFER TO BE SENT TO MY YOUNGER BROTHERS AND FAMILY TO BE GIVEN TO THAT DOCTOR.
DEAR READER, AT THIS TIME, THE MATTER HAS BECOME SERIOUS!! WITH MOBILE CONTACTS, I INSTRUCTED MY FAMILY "ON THE GROUND" TO GO AND SHOW THAT DOCTOR, THEY ARE GOING TO COLLECT THE MONEY FROM BANK SO HE SHOULD GO ON WITH THE OPERATION. BUT THIS MEESAGE WAS JUST DROPPING WATER INTO BASKET. THAT THE DOCTOR SIMPLY TOLD THEM (MY FAMILY) THAT HE CAN'T OPERATE MY SICK YOUNGER BROTHER UNTIL 4.00P.M.(16:00HOURS) O'CLOCK THAT EVENING. SO MY FAMILY SHOULD GO BACK AT THAT TIME.
LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, AT 4.10 P.M. I TELEPHONE ONE OF MY YOUNGER BROTHER (WHO WAS MY INTERLOCUTER) IN THIS SERIOUS MOMENT, TOLD ME THAT "SMALL BOY" DOCTOR WAS NOT THERE. THAT HE HAS NOT TURNED UP!!!
TO MAKE MY LONG STORY SHORT.GUESS WHAT HAPPENED, THIS "SMALL BOY" DOCTOR (AS MY YOUNGER BROTHER LABELED HIM) CAME TO THE HOSPITAL AT 8.00 P.M. (20:00 HOURS)!!. I never believed until my dear mum of blessed memory was admitted at Korle-bu, may her soul rest in peace.it's true these fraudulent activities exist in Korle-bu, as personnels at the hospital all have their affiliate pharmacies and laboratories where they refer poor Ghanaians to go and get expensive medicines and labs from. Could you believe after my mun passed away, the drugs which were not administered to her were stolen by the personnels.we even ended up buying a drug from a nurse cos we combed every pharmacy and couldn't get it. I don't really have much time to tell my experience at Korle-bu but then I'm hopeful the appropriate authorities will take action to salvage the image of the teaching hospital

It is not difficult to figure out that the both of you are NDC 'fire-fighters' trying to muddy the waters for those who 'scattered' the real criminals of Korle Bu, that is, Eddie Annan and his incompetent puppet, Okpoti.

Nobody in his or her proper frame of mind who has been following this crisis at Korle Bu will believe your story. Casting Mrs Bruce as a demon rings a very familiar tune. That discordant tune was the same one that was sung by the Okpoti/Annan clique before they were chased out of the hospital.

We are made to understand that there are no drug for holders of the NHIS, but a look at the drugs at the pharmacy clearly shows that the drugs are generic drugs, which qualified to be supplied under the NHIS. Another issue is that who are the owners of the various drugs stores in front of the hospital.

I was a victim when I wrote a report on corrupt praticse went on at Dansoman Polyclinic where Pharmacist brought in expired drug from their Pharmacy shop and exchange it if that of the hospital. After the report the lady ( Pharmacist ) told me this report would go no where and am waisting my time. Truelly no action was taken am I became the victim. My advice to the Government to scrap Internal Audit Unit and save a lot of money.

She set up the 24hrs Pharmacy and had stood her ground firmly against the ubiquitous detractors and destroyers who roam the city looking for opportunity to undo any good thing we have. She is honest and protective of her tuft and so now its time to scandalize her so that she can buckle for the wolves to have a field day of celebration.
