IEA should think about better way of making politics disincentive instead thinking about coalition govt that will bring the wheels of any govt to standstill. Even if the composition of that coalition govt will be made up of Church leaders, I can assure you that it will never survive six months. Envy and greed is what make the black stupid in everything.

To serve Ghana, come as you are. If you live in a HALL& CHAMBER before becoming an MP, stay there and do your work, and if you go by tro tro b4 you won your election, keep on and buy your own vehicle with your pay. And all should be forced to enrolled their kids in the local schools and attend the local clinics and hospitals to help improve upon all these institutions for all.

If both had participated in the decision-process, then they would share responsibility for the projects and be less prone to dismantle them later.

We have twice rejected unity government. First, when proposed by Kwame Nkrumah and, second, when proposed by Kutu Acheampong.
What exactly is the new system people are advocating for? That is what is needed for consideration. But this noise of abolish! abolish!! is not helping. The political philosophies of the various parties will result in bigger fight than what we are witnessing within the NPP. This is only a ploy to ensure that win or lose the politicians can be milking Akua Ghana. Where is the incentive for parties to deliver?
My solution, have less lawyers in parliament. Our politicians spend less time reading and educating themselves to keep abreast with the dynamic world.
We need to discourage people who claim politics is their profession. When people lose elections in the UK, the USA, Japan etc they go back to teach at the universities, work at companies the helped established. The go back to the professions they came from. They do not spend 4 years to make NOISE campaigning. It is time to discourage this practice.
I applaud Bawumia and Kyerematen who took up appointments and to return to the country in time to campaign.

The constitution as it is now is a disaster.Anyway it was written to serve one man and i'm it did .So it's now time to review it.Let the people who are responsible take their time and let public have a say otherwise they will be doing a great disservice to Mother Ghana. My suggestion are: 1,The executive should separate from the legislature.NO state minister should come from the legislature. 2, All Regional Ministers and District Exercutives should be elected by their various regions and districts so that they directly responsible to the people and the people have right to remove him or her from office for non performance.3 ,No Civil or public personnel
should be allowed to use government property for personal use- especially FUNERALS, weddings and weekends. The cars should strictly for official business. The should pay market price for the bungalows.

Good politics is the ultimate service to society and those who advocate to have service to the nation be as unattractive as the ills in society need their head examined. The 1966 coup orchestrated by the NPP parent party UP/UGCC and the "matemeho" gang sought the winner take all aspect of a multiparty system of governance. Most of the elite core group of NPP membership of old and of now received classroom training and work experiences along with the "island of me" selfishness, greed and intellectual dishonesty from their days in the Diaspora mostly in UK and or across Europe. And in UK and the US where most of these clueless politicians in Ghana acquired and proudly display their collection of meaningless credentials the political system is built on winner takes all. The difference between the constitutions of those civilized nations and that of ours is we thrive on nepotism, tribal and party loyalties and above all immorality that seem to have no love for what is Godly and country.
How would sharing political power solve current loyalties that justify Asantes willing to die for the Ashanti kingdom, Ewe's willing to die for Voltaland, Fantes willing to die for Fanti land and etc? What Ghana needs is leadership and nothing but true leadership. It is only in Ghana one could find 70 percent of the population have deferred any thinking to the 2 percent political and educated elite and the so-called semi-educated class just too busy looking to ways to get rich off the government even as fellow citizens drop dead around. What would power sharing do for people incapable of shame, remorse or common sense who make decisions to pay monthly office space rental amounts that exceeds the salaries of an entire staff within a department? And who is it that have enabled rental property owners in Ghana to demand multi-year rental amounts upfront when the government of Ghana with all of its retards called members of parliament who cannot pay their own rent and or pay the wages and benefits of workers on monthly basis? What Ghana need is people with ideals and wisdom; nothing more nothing less. For with wisdom comes principled people and with principled people come with principled stance that will cut across political party and or tribal lines. With principle people comes decisions that carries no favor but to nation.

It is true that certain positions in the civil and public services must not be subject to governmental control. Positions like the Chief of Defence Staff, his Service Commanders, the Inspector General of Police, and other service heads, the Attorney General, the Auditor General, the Governor of Bank of Ghana, so on, must be above politics.
The Electoral Commissioner must, just as the President, serve a maximum of two four-year term. Statutory rules and regulations must be strictly enforced. Presidential powers must be curbed. For instance, just as the advanced countries, a sitting President and members of his government must also be subject to the Law. If found to be corrupt, they must be prosecuted, and punished if caught in the net of the Law through impeachment proceedings.
Nobody should be made to believe that he is above the Law either in office or out. In view of this, the indemnity clauses in the Constitution must be scrapped out. And the constitutional provision which allows a declared President to be sworn in even though the other contestant has filed a suit in the Supreme Court must be immediately amended. It is after the Supreme Court determination the actual winner must be sworn in. The Chief Justice must act as Head of State at the time of the Court proceedings.
It could never be possible for opposing political parties to share political positions. But if the above measures are considered and instituted, the nation shall fare well. Once the rule of law shall be at work, objectivity shall reign in the country, and national unity and development shall be forthcoming as a matter of course.
