The government has no business in meddling in the sanitary pad business. The government wants to supply school girls with free sanitary pads when textbooks are in short supply. Multiply the cost of sanitary pads by the number of female students by 12 and then by 5. What do you get??
Are the pads going to be manufactured in Ghana? I hope the MPs (representatives) would be on the look out for this in the next budget that the President is going to present to them.

Justice Emile Short, a former Boss of the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice, said it is critical that the people of Ghana are fully engaged in the amendment process.
He argued that the government White Paper does not reflect the true input of the public as critical recommendations such entrenchment of a National Development Plan in the Constitution, and demand that the National Development Commission be made an independent body.
I support Emile Short amendments.
The NDPC should not be entrenched as it would entrench our development.
The entrenchment has contributed to the current state of the Ghana economy.
The 37-Member NDPC are not the best brains in Ghana on the subject today; they were yesterday men and women appointed to meet the political order of yesterday.
NDPC issues are elastic and growing and cannot be entrenched for all the world.
