The owner of the building should be arrested alongside that spokesman, the Yaro Ka.... guy for conniving with the management of NPA to defrauding and causing financial loss to the state. Yaro is a liar in the sense that, as a tenant, you cannot under any circumstances rent out any part of your rented space to another tenant unless you the tenant double as the owner of the said property. The lies of the NPA will catch with them if the owner of the property is arrested and subject to strict scrutiny.

Lets punish severely all cases of financial loss to the state by seizing all the officials concerned their properties from them, and where necessary, imprison them for a long, long time in a high security prison for them to know that, Ghana is also a country with children who needs to be cared for and fed properly. Lets rebel and create calculated chaos and make sure we REMIND THE SECURITY FORCES WE ARENT DOING THIS TO OVERTHROW ANY LEGITIMATE GOVERNMENT but we are doing it to register our displeasure of official insensitivity to our welfare as a whole.

When they return to business as usual then of course we the people will rise again and make sure , no election is done in Ghana again until we can fix all the problems within a decade or two. Lets do this now, because we have waited for 57 years fucking years.

Where is our sovereignty?I governments, past and present, feel the dollar is better for the country, then they must as well get rid of the cedi and attach our apron to the dollar, pay workers in dollars and transact all businesses, even in the local markets in dollars. Why do we sell our sovereignty? Though independence yet still shackled in the mental slavery that anything of ours is not good. Anyway who can blame these businessmen if the government itself doesn't deem it fit to transact local businesses and transactions in the local currency.Let's put aside political affiliations and call on the government and parliament to take action against these sharks and their cohorts. Just two institutions ie the NPA and BOST under the Ministry of Energy and Petroleum have managed to within just a year commit a whooping amount of almost $1.2million dollars to fruitless ventures. The combined sum of these rent advances could have put up a huge office complex to house these two institutions in the same complex, since the scope of activities and operations of these 2 institutions could have some commonality and interface, which would make for 1.efficiency, 2.time management 3.communication etc, etc.
However, monies have found their way into a black hole with no value for money.
The case of BOST is the most repugnant where BOST, is essentially pre-financing an uncompleted building which from all indications is not owned by BOST.
The explanation given, by the PRO of NPA along the lines of it being "necessary and urgent" with respect to it's renting of the supposed bigger structure, has some similarities between the same explanation given for the airlifting of a staggering amount of anywhere between $3-5million dollars to Brazil, which was similarly described as "unconventional but very necessary".
Ghana is clearly under siege, the national purse is clearly being tormented, scattered and plundered senselessly by the Mahama led NDC gov't, whilst the country grinds to a screeching halt.
Corruption and looting has become the main focus of gov't whilst all aspects of the national economy and human life collapses, and retrogresses.
What is even more disturbing is the fact that, when the masses demonstrate about the lack of leadership, about the lack of direction, about the lack of vision, about the lack of competence, about the lack of measures to address these ills that have taken over the country under the Mahama led NDC gov't, operatives in gov't who are supposed to be on the taxpayers dime tasked with solving these issues, make mockery of the hardworking Ghanaians who are feeling the brunt of such bad governance.
The NDC gov't led by Mahama/Amissah Arthur is most definitely not the party that has demonstrated the ability, the competence, the leadership, the vision and the focus to address the problems bedeviling the country which for the most part are self-inflicted under their tenure. This is not a path Ghana can continue to thread if it intends to address its socio-economic development and growth objectives. The level of rot and sleaze, that has been unleashed in the country under the Mahama/Amissah Arthur led NDC gov't is indefensible, unacceptable and completely untenable.
Ghana needs a new direction, Ghana needs a new focus, Ghana needs a new vision and Ghana needs leadership that would be accountable to the masses and accord the national purse the respect it deserves by appropriating it's contents in a manner that ensures equitable, fair and positive growth in the lives of the masses.
The Mahama led NDC gov't has been a humongous failure and need to be voted out at the ballot box in 2016. This path of wanton impunity, no value for money, with a create, loot and share attitude, mindset and direction is unsustainable, and Ghana needs a change. Ghana deserves the best, vote Mahama led NDC gov't out.

I don't know the operation of these two entities and thus can't tell the space they need to operate. But just like all economic activity- private or public-it all starts with the operation and the number of employees needed to execute the mission.

So folks before the marines are called in for intervention- bury the thought- get the facts straight and don't forget the monthly rent is costed on a square-footage basis, and location is also very critical.

So folks hang on to your pants and don't be hysterical by focusing solely on that aggregate monthly rent it could be the real economic value for the space.

And am not an apologist for this administration.
