  I give thanks to the committee for such a visit and advise to my people at Daboya. But the tree falling is well organised by the authorities and they always blame government for everything. Damongo or West Gonja District inclusive. We need to prosecute all offenders being he/she a chief or government appointee. The laws must work to stop this menace.

  These people complain the Ashantis do not regard people of the North and other minority tribes, yet when their own is power, look at the mess they are creating for mother Ghana.They will log, get the money and then go in for many wives. Shame unto them. Change will never come to them until they change themselves.

  All our parliamentarians, CEO,s, chief directors and any person managing our affairs should be given an orientation in their area of business. First of all, the northern sector of the country is suffering from Sahara desert effect. Is it not prudent to let them halt the any activity that will not encourage logging?. You are giving license to loggers and later on will borrow money from same Europeans to plant the trees that will take years to grow. The europeans will bring the furniture to us at exorbitant price to purchase. Where is the CEO OF FORESTRY COMMISSION WHO IS USING MORE WOOD THAN THE WHOLE GHANA. WE NEED SOMEONE WHO HAS ENVIRONMENTAL INTEREST TO HEAD THE VARIOUS DEPARTMENT UNDER LANDS AND MINERAL ETC THAN PEOPLE WHO WILL GIVE LICENCE TO LEBANESE AND INDIANS AND GALAMSEY OPERATORS. SHAME ON US.

  It's sad to say the least that where as the rest is the world is earnestly pursuing afforestation, we in Gonjaland have allowed President Mahama and his brothers to loot our common heritage. We voted for our fellow tribesman to become President of mother GH only for he and his selfish brothers to unleash their avaricious conduct on us. Is that our reward for honoring these unpatriotic , indisciplined ingrats who do not even see themselves as Gonjas? The hypocrisy of the president is boundless . He sets up SADA and funds it from the tax payers sweat and turns round to loot the money with Agambire under the guise of tree planting. The question we should be asking is whether the president is honestly devoted to the course of SADA and the north. Why should his brothers be cutting the very trees that president Mahama is supposedly planting . What ever money they make shall not sustain them since it's the collective wealth of all of us. The God of Gonjas will punish all those involved in these shameful act.
