I think Sulley had a point but more importantly this whole ordeal needs to be investigated. I have no problem with government officials attending this event so long as they pay their own way. Also a limit of the number of government officials should be mandated especially those officials being sponsored by the government. The way I read this any official could attend this world cup at government espense. the team did the best they could, but leading to this world cup there was evidence that the Black Stars had a weak defence and not a well oilled or trained goal keeping squad. It will be a good idea for the coach or for that matter any future coach to look into the prospects of hiring a coach for our goal keepers.

Why did we not take advantage of the offer? Was it because FIFA would have paid only the players and left out the greedy officials who did not deserve an appearance fee, in any case? Unfortunately, the country's leadership sets such a bad example I mean just look at the current petrol situation, where has the money gone?

Look at the value of the CEDI, where is the electricity, the water, look at the state of some of our roads, they destroy your vehicle. The cost of food is sky high and the average Ghanaian family is spending all of their earnings on food and transport costs.

NDC, NPP, the only difference between the two is DC, and PP, it's just more of the same.

Ghana midfielder Michael Essien has given his full support to Sulley Muntari after his AC Milan team-mate was thrown out of the Black Stars camp at the 2014 World Cup for ‘unprovoked physical attack’ on Ghana FA executive at the tournament in Brazil.
In his first comment since the dismissal of Sulley Muntari and Kevin-Prince Boateng for different disciplinary issues, Essien seemed to blame the Ghana FA for the dismissal of Muntari.
The AC Milan star, who played a bit-part role for Ghana at the World Cup, gave a brief reaction to numerous questions and appeals asking him to advice Boateng and Muntari over their reported indiscipline in the Black Stars camp and rather defended the actions of the duo.
“@acheamponglilian advice your so call FA not Sulley,” the ex-Chelsea star replied to an Instagram comment when asked to advice his friend Muntari over the attack on Armah, the owner of one of Ghana’s leading clubs.
Muntari is reported in the Ghanaian media to have launched a fisted attack on Ghana FA member Moses Armah during a meeting before chasing him up in his hotel room for further attacks resulting in his dismissal.
The action has drawn worldwide condemnation for the AC Milan star who has been sacked from Ghana camps on several occasions over disciplinary issues.
Simmering tensions surfaced in Ghana’s camp over unpaid World Cup appearance fees during a meeting in which Muntari launched an unprovoked attack on the Black Stars Management Committee member Moses Armah just before Ghana’s last game of the tournament in Brasilia.
Boateng, who had a disappointing campaign at this year’s finals, was also thrown out of Ghana’s camp following a ‘stinking’ verbal abuse on Ghana coach James Kwesi Appiah – reports in the Ghana media say.
The altercation, which the Schalke 04 star denies, led to his dismissal as he used the F-word on the soft-spoken coach.
Essien, who played just one game at Ghana’s World Cup campaign, has received praise for his conduct in the Ghana camp as he had remained calm and collected through the confusing times.
But his show of support for the duo is expected to change opinions.
Moments after Muntari’s dismissal from the team’s camp, he quickly focused his attention on AC Milan where he has signed a new one-year contract extension.
Ghana’s Youth and Sports Minister who was at the team’s camp in Brazil and his deputy have been dismissed by the Ghanaian President.

How can a whole central defender wait for an attacker to approach him, then put his hands behind him, when the attacker is not aiming to shoot, and then turn his back to allow him to go past him rather that DEFEND, which is aim to kick the ball from the feet of the attacker? I have read your response on the above subject matter to Bloomberg and I must say that I am not entirely surprised. The problem it seems with you Mr. President is that you are either too arrogant or somewhat daft to accept it when you get things wrong and I must say that you have called it wrong on a number of issues on several occasions. Your decision to sanction the payment and in the mode in which it was done was wrong, full stop. While I acknowledge that you have accepted that it could have been done different, I thought you would endear yourself to your audience better by just accepting that and not finding limp excuses to justify your decisions.
For someone who wanted you to mount the presidency in 2012 I must say that I have been woefully disappointed in you and your government. At this rate you are on a fast track to becoming the worst performing president in the fourth republic. I fear for the state of the nation and wonder to what extent this nation would have deteriorated to come 2016.
I would be keen to find out who your advisors are and what sort of advice you get. I would be further intrigued to understand what informs your whole decision making process on very basic matters.
With all due respect Mr. President you and your government may not know or accept it but things are dire in this country. You and your government have been shambolic quite frankly.
Do you think there is a chance that you could consider 'reassigning yourself to the deputy youth organizer position within the NDC? Hopefully such patriotic act on your part would save our country from further despair. This country is bigger than you and your cronies, it is certainly bigger than your pride.
Please consider the above proposal as two and a half years from now feels like eternity in hell.
