This Fortiz/Merchant bank deal deal from all indications is putrid, it stinks to the high heavens and nothing can justify such an atrocious deal, when Ghanaian taxpayers, from all indications are not getting any VALUE FOR MONEY in this stinking deal. Omane Boamah, MD should seek to explain why an equity firm which cannot even boast of the asset base to even acquire a non-financial banking license, should be made to take on this onerous task of not even a merger, but a full complete acquisition of Merchant bank, when Ghanaian taxpayers, have been offered far, far better VALUE FOR MONEY propositions from identifiable bodies with a portfolio of assets eclipsing over 100 billion dollars? It is indeed mindboggling the level of impunity and recklessness which has been unleashed on the affairs on governance by this NDC gov't. Ghana indeed deserves better than this recklessness which is permeating all facets of governance in this country. It's awfully pathetic.

A few days ago, we saw a picture in which some NDC officials looked so elated, and we were told they were "chilling". "Chopping" the taxpayer's money in Brazil, big time. That picture, ironically, is in sharp contrast to today's. NDC is yet to pay the biggest price for fooling Ghanaians, even their own people. When Ghanaians expected govt to make this coveted World Cup event a national issue, to boost the morale of the Black Stars, the govt disappointingly chose another path - a mere party propaganda. This partisan attitude has to a very large extent divided rather than uniting Ghanaians in times like this. If this clueless president won't take any disciplinary action against Yamin, for those unsavoury, irresponsible utterances that have incensed many people, then it means he fully endorses what he said. Good leadership, indeed! The confusion, hullabaloo began on our own shores minths before they embarked on the trip to Brazil. Good that the whole world will see these photos. A whole deputy minister was bold enough to publicly declare to Ghanaians, that because NDC foot soldiers contributed to the party's success in the last elections, majority of them will be granted the favour of travelling to Brazil.
