Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. It therefore important that the other two branches of government, parliament and the judiciary, assert and strengthen their roles.
John Dramani Mahama is the first former MP in the fourth republic to become President. We therefore expect that he would cooperate with the MPs in solving the problems of parliament.
The Ghana armed forces and the Ghana Police service must bear in mind that the owe allegiance to the three arms of government and nobody must enlisted until the person understands this.

What about if you went to see Chavez, former prez of Venezuela for money to be used for political campaign? All of them including the Chief Bishop want money, power, and positions. That is why I write against the "Holier than you" attitude by some of our politicians, and pastors who make the easily gullible believe they are infallible.

Presiding bishop and indeed some Bishops comments amaze me. Advising others about power? Why not advise their fellow Bishop in North America who keeps telling everyone with whom he has a problem (and believe they are many), 'I am the Bishop'. The Kumasi bishop is always in the news condemning politicians and the Presiding Bishop is always out there saying this or that. If they have any advice it should go to the SMC,for believe me even the politicians won't do half the things he is doing in NAM.A word to the wise...

Just be bold and condemn the mediocrity and recklessness of the incumbent. Generalisations will not help. Act like Nathan... before King David. He said it directly to David without Azonto Dances--round and round and round

There is nothing in the proper world called 'chief bishop' and equally ignorant pompous persons to be called 'The most Reverend Professor' and especially when the persons job is not a full time lecturer in the university to be referred to as professor. Majority of Ghanaian so-called professors have nothing inventive or have never solved and serious problem facing Ghana or mankind. They are all Professor Hweee!!!!!

Respect to the untouchables, yes, to God's annointed. But what do the pastors give in return? Nothing but scorn!
A friend once asked me: "When these pastors go for training, are they taught how to despise us - the congregation?" His observation was that most of these pastors talk to their congregation as if they hold the keys to the pearly gates. They have no respect for their flock.
When I was at home the other time, it was announced at service one Sunday that after church, we would all be marching to greet families who were holding final funeral rites for their departed kindred that week-end. Straight after service, as the entire congregation, old and young and very old, walked and limped along the pavements of the town's untarred roads to the funeral grounds, the minister jumped into his car - no, the car the church bought for him - and drove past us, covering us in red dust! He could at least have offered a lift to a couple of humped-back old ladies whose meagre earnings had helped purchase the car in the first place. Better still, what better fellowship would it have been if he had shown good example by walking with his congregation - as Jesus taught us all to do?
But no. He was above the ordinary members of his congregation! And these are the people the Chief Bishop is asking the church to respect! No doubt the church has lost its place in the modern world! Next time I am at home, I will ensure that the minister in our church behaves as if he is one of us or he will be forced to go on transfer! We could rent the manse out to the head teacher of our Junior High School! At lease he was one of the people who went on foot to the funeral grounds.
