The day power-sharing becomes a reality, that would be the beginning of the end of Ghana. When these greedy politicians find out that no matter what they do they will be in power, nothing will be done for the ordinary people.
The people did not fight Acheampong about his UNIGOV to bring some greedy bastards to start UNIGOV again. We just need one good and honest man to lead the Country to turn turns around.
The person could be found, unfortunately it is hard because NPP follows "First come, First served" and they are waiting for Nana Addo to die before others. As for NDC, I don't think they have any wise man or woman among the lot.

mahama was a mistake choice that believe me most even in their God forsaken ndc party truly regret . Mills was murdered so that pepeni and ayigbe idiots could get their hands on power and money . now we all see what they are really doing soon they will be swept away and never again will any of them even come close to any official institution of state . mahama and his brothers after financial forensic investigations will be the first president to get a life sentence for corruption and crimes against the state . the alternative is a bloody revolution and war forget a peaceful transition of power as the will definitely try to proclaim victory by rigging the elections with the help of national security .This time the people will not be taken for a ride as we saw with the glorious demonstration in Kumasi the other day, the Ashantis have finally made us proud .Yes what have WE AKANS done to deserve such a stinking foul corrupt thieving pepeni/ayigbe kum Ga govt on our heads ? A whole police chief no dey see top when the people the people started to spontaneous arrive and they no go see top when this is organized nationwide with the help of all progressive political forces that do not agree with the daylight robbery corruption we are see today . If they even dream of shooting just one bullet we shall turn the demo bloody and deal with them all . We Akans are tired of being cheated and we will get justice and freedom whether they like it or not . Their police in their uniforms of brutality can not frighten us as we have nothing to loose , they have made life so hard that it cant get any worse . we are fed up with their incompetence , selfishness ,lies and hate .

We need competent men who understand governance and not some dumb power sharing system. The problem now is NOT that the NDC admin holds all the power, the problem is that they are clueless and don't have the competence to govern, also the opposition does not have the majority in parliament to stop the rubber stamping that goes on now. Mahama still has the power to appoint competent folks from any party or non party affiliates (just simply Ghanaians) so what stops him? You see how the parliament becomes bi-partisan when it comes to parliament pay raises and benefits? That is what will happen when you have unigov or power sharing, they will collude and exploit even more.

You realize he said SHARE and POWER. He did not say share responsibilities and tasks. And that is the tragedy confronting our country. People from both sides of the contrived and artificial political divide founded mostly on tribalism, only seek power for the purposes of enriching themselves. They come to POWER and appoint Ministers to head different Ministries to appropriate budgets for their own needs. No party when in opposition finds the time to prepare a detailed policy blue print on education, health, taxation etc. All they do is insult each other, peddle slogans and make empty promises.

Just imagine in the current situation, NDC and NPP in a power sharing government? The problem in Ghana is not about winner takes all but rather appointments of incompetent people into positions they are not qualified for but on the basis of party affiliation, ethnicity and other patronage.

I do not agree with the assertion that the clueless governance being nakedly shown by the Ndc may also be found in the NPP. This is not true, the record of the NPP eight years in government is available for scrutiny, if needed.
I would rather not comment on the opening part of your concluding paragraph.

What exactly is power-sharing and what is polarization? Our inability to speak truth to the issues and bite the bullet and ensure that the right thing is done is the very reason why Ghana is in the very state in which it finds itself.
Which human being in his right mind would want to share corruption and incompetence? Can incompetence and corruption of the NDC gov't be shared on any level?
Let's call a spade a spade. If the NDC gov't which adopted every means possible to stay in power at all cost has failed to deliver, because they lack the expertise, the knowhow, the experience and the mental fortitude to deliver, be bold and spell it out in their face, to vacate the seat, and stop this konongo kaya sort of business, where they are not performing but are still staying put, wasting resources and looting the national kitty dry.
The system is working perfectly, and the conversation should be devoted towards educating the masses to make sure that, they vote out any incompetent team that assumes the reins of governance, if they fail to deliver on their mandate.
Ghana should even be thinking of adopting the system of mid-term elections between every term of 4years, where, the Presidency and the parliamentary seats are all open again for contestation, so such bad governance does not travel the full length of the term with it's stagnant effects on the growth and development objectives of the nation. Deliver or vacate the seat, because incompetence cannot be shared, neither can corruption nor thievery.

A husband and wife were having a fine dining experience at their exclusive country club when this stunning young woman comes over to their table, gives the husband a big kiss, says she'll see him later and walks away.
His wife glares at him and says, "Who was that?"
"Oh," replies the husband, "she's my mistress."
"Well that's the last straw," says the wife. "I've had enough, I want a divorce. I am going to hire the most aggressive, meanest divorce lawyer I can find and make your life miserable."
"I can understand that," replies her husband, "but remember, if we get a divorce it will mean no more wintering in Key West, or the Caribbean, no more summers in Tuscany, no more Cadillac STS in the garage, and no more country club, and we'll have to sell the 26-room house and move to two smaller homes, but the decision is yours."
Just then, a mutual friend enters the restaurant with a gorgeous young woman on his arm.
"Who's that with Jim?" asks the wife.
"That's his mistress," says her husband.
She replies, "Ours is prettier."

Power sharing as per definition might not bring changes into governence. We could also ask whether Ghana indeed needs a presidential systm of government. Why not go after pure parliamentary system where the majority party(ies) o coalition of parties in parliament forms government and a prime minister forming part of Parliament? Why not democratise the district assembly system where even opposition parties will be elected as MMDCEs based on similar electoral principles that frame national politics?
