It was nothing but a dubious plan and insidious agenda motivated by tribalism and hatred of the Akans . This is the greatest tragedy and the reason why the country can never develop, as long as the undercurrent of all political activity is the hatred and exclusion of everything Akan there can never be true unity and peace of mind . We now have generations of youth in absolute poverty who will never know what a job that can sustain a family is , brainwashed into thinking the perverse lies of this ndc are the right moral standards of the day, yes buga buga tactics designed to break the spirit of a free nation . They say we are only angry but the fact remains this was a tribal war still continuing against the Akans , you will never hear JJ mention the corrupt EWE such as woyome , segbefia and tsikata but rather any Ashanti public or private is the enemy and criminal and his follows will add drug barons . He will never see the evil corruption of his allies in this backstrabbing war against the Akans the northerners and other minorities such as the Gas. Without proof or the need to respect the law and human rights of the accused he will judge and execute innocent Akans into jail or death , even his long time traitor friend Mills was not good enough because he was Fanti and therefore not motivated enough to hate his brothers the Ashantis or npp. Forbes has put the mahamas in the list of being one of the most corrupt family in the country and Africa but JJ and the NDC are blind to this fact and obviously have succeeded in bribing our so called opposition NPP into compliance of the ongoing crimes . Forensic investigations, by definition, occur AFTER something has taken place. Despite this basic truth, many Anti-Corruption institutions are focused on “Forensic Accounting” and investigation as part of their Corruption Prevention Programs.

They bring in law enforcement and criminal investigators as their primary tools in Corruption Prevention.

This is a bit like trying to stop people from murder by spending money on Crime Scene Investigators. The crime has already been committed.

Corruption Prevention is primarily those activities designed on Preventing the corruption crimes from occurring.

Let’s look at the basic gradients of Anti-Corruption (See Figure Above).

Awareness:

The starting point for all anti-corruption work is to develop awareness that certain behavior is unacceptable. The behavior may be destructive, harmful to the person, his family, community or mankind.

If a person is unaware that some behavior is unacceptable he will have no reason to avoid the behavior.

Take for example the Anti-Corruption Official that allows his family full time use of a vehicle donated by foreign governments for government purposes. If this official comes from a culture where the tribal big man is the final word on all matters, then he may not be aware that his wife’s use of a vehicle intended exclusively for official anti-corruption activities is unacceptable.

Some people will look at this situation and conclude, “Of course this official knows what he is doing is wrong. Its his job to know the law about such things.”

Yet working in anti-corruption, I frequently find that the awareness of the legal expectations evaporates when in conflict with a culturally ingrained truth.

Where what we believe to be true and acceptable is in conflict with what we have learned through academic education, it is fairly typical to find a cognitive blind spot – an area of unawareness in a person’s observations of themselves and others.

Those of us who were once children will recall that the process of replacing one truth about our own behavior, with another, is not a simple matter of being told.

There is an education process involved that requires examination of the full impact, benefits and costs, of our behavior.

In anti-corruption, this education process has to be the starting point.

This is true in anti-corruption as well as other important issues such as human rights, gender equality and Rule of Law.

Education requires more than producing the laws and regulations and teaching people that the laws exist. Global experiences with human rights, gender equality and anti-corruption have shown that new laws are not enough to create change.

Awareness programs must also focus on increasing awareness of the truth of such matters within the cultural context.

In the 90's once again, the same P(NDC)gov't's actions culminated in Ghana going HIPC as a result of these same economic crisis.
Fast forward to 2014, and the same P(NDC)gov't has plunged the economic fortunes of the country into far deeper crisis and stagnation than ever before and this time the benefit of HIPC is not available to Ghana. The question is, what is it with the P(NDC)gov't that for all the times that they happen to be in gov't, Ghana goes into economic crisis during their tenure?
The NDC gov't has failed on all fronts, whilst their unbridled penchant for corruption and thievery and looting soars disproportionately to the competence required to address the socio-economic aspirations of the country, leaving Ghana in the quagmire, in the abyss, in the doldrums.
The NDC gov't is not fit for governance and until they are voted out gargantuanly, the conditions of the 80's, 90's and now the 2000's which leaves the country in the ditch everytime the P(NDC) takes over the reins of gov't, would never be surmounted. It's time to kick the NDC gov't to curb at the ballot box.
The supposed fight against corruption now, is not going to happen, because NDC is corruption and corruption is NDC.

People were constantly calling for hard-line stand on corruption having endured that lacklustre attitude of Mills. Mahama started no less indifferent than Mills was.

The truth is that a Ghanaian President cannot ascend to the seat of government as decide to be weak or indifferent. I am sorry and even though I am a full NDC guy it has to be known that there are millions of people ready to corrupt and be corrupted on a minute to minute basis in Ghana whilst there are mothers and orphans who cannot even get food to eat.

This is very disappointing as mass action against this government is about right. Sadly, we have the most foolish and unworthy opposition in Ghana. The NPP are all useless and inward-looking. They are unfit to govern.
