It is a shame that basic commodity like water is now an Essential commodity in Gh.
Someone is just not doing their job.
I found out last week that in my area, near Oyarifa and Teiman (off the Aburi Road) Water is supplied by Community Water who deal with the Rural Communities in their catchment area; Ghana Water is just a White Elephant.
Everything & everybody has slowed down, I think a Coup would set the ball rolling, get people running for cover and the rest working like men.
Unfortunately JJ Rawlings is too old to jump over GBC walls; even Ken Agyapong is disillusioned with his party, you know at once Things have (indeed) Fallen Apart!!!
God Help Us!!!

The rot is not only in his area; it is all over the country. This is where Jerry Rawlings June 4 and NDC have brought us to. That is what he is celebrating today.

Mahama, you are yelling at the wrong outfit. The basic problem is there is no planned development. People start putting up structures and the expect the government to provide manna. It does not happen in developed countries. And so long as we do not adopt planned expansion/development so long shall we continue to be without adequate roads, water and electricity no to mention police and sanitation.

I see most of the problems with utility services as security failure. A police man or military man who is supposed to prosecute and protect these facilities sells electric generators and have water tanks. If our security is serious such a person would not have place in the security services. Some people who also sell water intentionally lock water valves so that neighbours will not have water so that they will come to buy water from their tanks.
It is the duty of the security services to protect the utilities and it is a patriotic obligation of every citizen to report a person who tempers with them to the security services. We are all failing Ghana, thus we must wake up.

The reason is simple. Because absolutely heads of Department in Ghana do not work. What they actually do is to go to the office everyday just to collect their Salaries at the end of the month. If they were working, there's no way people should have such problems with Water,Electricity etc.
My reasons is that, you plan for Maintaining and Expansion of existing Facilities in accordance with population growth.Or if possible add new ones to Cater for the growth
If the CEO's worked as expected of them, why do the people experience those hardships,in the first place !
Again,do anyone of those CEO's have a Immediate,(6 months- 1 yr),Medium(1-5yrs),Long term (6 - 20 yrs), plans in place. If yes, what was/is the problem,then !
I don't want to hear about finances.Why,b'cos
the gov't budget for medical care, outside the Country for some people, right ! So why can't and why don't the gov't budget for the maintenance ,espansion and additions to these livelihood essential Services for the people ?. Anyway.

Dr. Mahama is solution is simple. You as an educated person and a medical doctor so to speak, how about you installing a tank or big reservoir to tap rainwater and to filter it. Then by so doing you could cut down on cost and water is guaranteed as much as it rains regularly.
We all know by now, we need to take on initiatives as individuals as to improve things or else we wait to no avail. There is nothing much positive to hold on in Ghana. Things has been falling apart in Ghana since 40 years...........! Ghana ceased to progress after the Nkrumah Era. Kwame Nkrumah is very sad in his grave, then he had much plans with dear nation Ghana. For a nation with 10 regions we cannot expect to still have just one dam ( the akosombo dam) to supply electricity. It is about time other alternatives are planned.
All we can do is pray for our hours but we aren't using our brains to the maximum as God will expect from us. God helps those who help themselves.
Prayers alone will NOT lead Ghana to success.
