That little error does not take away from the point you made in your comment. However, the saying is catchy and our young might want to use it often, too. Therefore, we must try to preserve its correctness to match its historical origin.
Thanks for your anticipated acceptance of the correction. It is not to embarrass you. We all make mistakes in writing. I recently had my wrong usage of a word corrected by Dr. SAS. And I was happy he picked it out and nudged me to see the error. We all must help each other become better at we do, not pull each other down.

Big mining companies have been eyeing the iron ore deposits at Simandou for many years.
Mining shares hit by iron ore slump
China agrees Guinea mining deal
Rio Tinto, Chinalco and the International Finance Corporation have signed a deal to develop Guinea's iron ore deposits.
The Simandou project, which has been delayed for years, would be the biggest iron ore and infrastructure project developed in Africa, the firms said.
The $20bn (£12bn) "investment framework" provides legal and financial backing for the project.
The framework will now go the Guinean National Assembly for ratification.
If ratified, the three parties said they would complete a feasibility study, including timeline and costs, within about a year.
President of the Republic of Guinea Alpha Conde said: "With massive infrastructure investment, this project is of critical importance for the people of Guinea.
"It's a nationwide priority that goes beyond the mines and far beyond our generations. With transparent and fair deals, our mining sector has the potential to be a game changer for Guinea."
'World class'
As well as mining the iron ore, the three partners said they were working together to raise the funds to build a 650km railway and a deep-water port to transport the rocks and minerals.
They said the project had the potential to double Guinea's GDP and create 45,000 jobs.
"Today is an important milestone in the development of this world-class iron ore resource for the benefit of all shareholders and the people of Guinea," said Sam Walsh, chief executive of Rio Tinto.
Rio Tinto will take a 46.6% stake in the project, Chinalco 41.3%, Guinea 7.5% and IFC 4.6%.
Rio was first awarded concessions to Simandou almost 10 years ago, but was forced to give up those in the northern part of the range of hills in 2008. These were then given to BSG Resources, a company controlled by Israeli billionaire Beny Steinmetz.
Last month, the BSGR permits were rescinded by the Guinean government, paving the way for the deal between Rio and Chinalco.

The saddest part of it all is that the expected improvement in the people's Economic situation that they claim could lift the Nation out of poverty would not last.
Meanwhile, the transient taste of luxury could trigger an addiction for high level lifestyle among the youths who would be disappointed by their corrupt leaders who would ruin the economy of the Nation, amidst factional, divisive Politics.
Our development has been so tightly woven around the dependence on foreign investments that when those investments run aground we are totally incapacitated. These investments could last for only as long as they make their killer profits, our Political interactions with their countries of origin remain overly cordial and we never demand higher shares in the transactions.
Right now, desperately ambitious selfish leaders in Africa would rather sign on to anything that might bring a temporary Economic relief to justify their holding on to power, without considering the real permanent effects of such deals on the Nations involved.

We know here in Texas not to mess with Texas!! When the law gets you, you go down.If we can practice this in Africa, then we can go forward. But, the kind of mind set we have across the continent of Africa, we cannot see Canaan, much more to enter it . Government officials must change their attitudes to enable them to persuade their citizens to change too.You can extend your tax net to include the whole populace of China and India combined for Ghana, it still won't amount to a s...t! If you want to copy the U.S. tax system, go all the way by making sure everybody, including all ministers and parliamentarians and the president pay taxes. But most importantly, since you want to copy the U.S. you should without fail amend the constitution that grants indemnity to former presidents, or any politician for that matter, from investigation into suspected corrupt practices. No advanced country, let alone U.S., has that primitive practice. No one should be above the law. Ghanaians everywhere in the advanced countries are used to seeing the prevalence of rule of law and order at every level of government. No one would like to send their hard earned money into a country where the political leaders have impunity right over that money.
Remember, any way, that Americans in Ghana do not have to send money home to the their relatives. Most Ghanaians outside are intensely preoccupied with supporting relatives at home. Wouldn't that count as a kind of support for the country at large? Doesn't that provide substantial foreign exchange for the country? Let not the people at home try to be greedy on the people outside. Everybody would love to be home. If it is easy, you could come too.
To conclude, let me reiterate the need for removing that obnoxious indemnity clause. The removal should not even have anything to do the taxation issue. Its existence is simply nauseating.

These so called Doctorate Degree holders many times exhibit their stupidity in a way that, former Presidential aspirant, Mame Donkor an illiterate sometimes make sense of her ideas than these people.
First, with the US Nationals who operate businesses else where, there is capital flight from their country - USA whereby the US - Government can track and make his tax assessment. Contrary to above, how many Ghanaians have even five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000.00)in their bank account and are able to move it to USA or any Western Country to start a business? Many Ghanaian entrepreneurs in diaspora started in the hardest way by working (2)8hours jobs to make their capitals and then diverts to the business of their choice.
You deny these same people to vote in general elections and forbid them to take Public Service or Governmental appointments and now you don't feel ashamed expecting them to pay taxes for Mahama and his bunch of idiots to get paid? With the country's population of 25-million people and its natural resources, you fools don't need any tax money from the diasporas. The incomes generated from the ports, bauxite, cocoa, timber, manganese, gold, oil, internal taxes and whatnots are sufficient to carry out any sensible venture if government have the right people put in places to do the work. Corruption is the sole evil that is plaguing our economy and nothing else. If that evil doing is not completely weed out from the top down to the entire society, the country may go for HIPC status again. Donor countries may heed to our request and freely give us 10-billion dollars, yet we will come back to this stupid situation of mismanagement again. Diasporas taxes need not be mentioned at all. DODOS IN MANAGEMENT. E&OE.

As it is now, Ghanaians in diaspora are directly contributing to the availability of Foreign Exchange at home via remittances. Seeking to tax them now might reduce the amount they could send home in total.
The Government might think so long as it could claim its direct share from such taxation, it would not care. However, it should be noted that without the remittances the pressure on the government could be greater from both less profitable Forex Businesses and Citizens worse off without the remittances.
Any such lure to impose taxes on Ghanaians working abroad must be considered with likely negative repercussions in mind. For instance, Diaporans must not surfer double taxation where they may be paying excessive taxes in both their places or Countries of work and Ghana. If such taxes become imminent, the Ghana Government must negotiate with the Countries Ghanaians are working in to let these Citizens have a break in what they pay to those host Countries. It would not be fair that Diasporans would pay taxes to the host Countries at the same rate as all others in those Countries and then be asked to pay additional taxes on whatever they made or send home.
If nothing at all, any taxes imposed must only be on value added investment. This move opens up the view on the larger responsibility
of the Ghanaian Government's to revamp the Revenue Management System in Ghana, starting with the Ghana revenue collection and monitoring Agencies' work. The GRA must be required by Law to plug up all leakages in its system, taking pilfering and corruption more seriously and prosecuting those committing those crimes. Assets of convicted culprits should be siezed for full repayment of any justifiable penalties, on addition to lengthy jail terms.
Unless the Ghana Govt satisfactorily wraps its hands around the local taxes, it would be unfair to target Diasporans for taxation, and even set a regressive trend that harms Ghana's Economy.
Any deplorable performance at home in generating revenues must not be seen to be fixable with financially encumbering Diasporans
