What did they say leading to them coming to power? They told Ghanaians that they have the best brains to turn things around and what do we see?

Does it make sense for a president of the nation to taunt his opponents them summons them to a summit or a forum about how best to solve the nation's ill economy? I do not think so.

Just look at their heartless belligerence as they lock horns with every country in the South China Sea. The greedy, Godless China is consumed with brutal strength,seeing every other human community/country as one that must be bulldozed over in their survival-of-the-fittest bid like the atheists that they are, having no God to fear,and not seeing brotherhood and sisterhood in other human beings that are not called Chinese because they don't share common Father/God with anybody. Just look at the way they seize maritime areas forcibly, harassing the countries around. It is sympathetic, Christian United States, that has been the hope and mediator for these small helpless states. If you want to see the Devil wait and watch China; in the near future you will know that the acceptance of God makes a difference for mankind. When people have no one but themselves to fear, it is very dangerous. They can go rogue easily; and as long as that behavour suits them, nothing can be done to deter them. People who know God are always evaluating their actions before their Master and Maker whom they constantly seek to please. They submit to the advice of others who also know God, those who identify them. So checks and balances are created with being in a family under God. Not so with the atheists. Putin belongs to the latter group. He thinks of Russians in Ukraine as different beings than non-Russian Ukrainians because he doesn't see a common Father/God. Look at all the confusion in that region. A man of God would have made peace his prime motivation; he would have helped Ukraine selflessly, and by so doing he would have helped the Russians there who like everyone else are children of God, first and foremost. If they choose to join the E.U., what is wrong with that? After all, don't the E.U. trade with Russia? All it is doing now is vanity. A thing like this can't please God whom he doesn't fear any way and whose ways he can't know. You see Russia and China are getting closer and closer? Birds of the same feathers flock together.
By the way, comparing Ghana's economy to China is most ill-advised. China is a very ancient state that has been China for thousands of years. Ghana wasn't Ghana until 1957. We are relatively a new country. China has been in a competitive spirit with the West for many years, economically or commercially, and militarily. Ghana, since independence, has been traversing a strange path of having to shake off the effect of colonialism and seeking to gain full recognition in a world that has/had lower view of the black man and even of his product, of a world that loved for Africa to remain a primary good producer.
Let me tell you, in the U.S., there's a scramble by child adopters for Chinese children, and for Russian children too. How many Ghanaian children are being asked for adoption? Your guess will be as good as mine.
If your goods don't have a ready profitable market, you're not effectively motivated to produce. Go to the U.S. or Europe and watch the Ghanaians who have profitable jobs and see whether they are slacks. And most of them are Christians! In God, their ways are assured of straightness: No crookedness; all love.
Please, learn to love God. After all, what matters is not the material gains none of which we shall take with us. Christians have a reward with our Creator which you have no means to estimate: Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes out of the mouth of God. Examine your ways and in humility, seek God. Amen.

When did he go to school to study for a doctorate degree? Since I've known him in Canada, he never went to any established university to study. If he wants to prove me wrong, he should answer the following questions. Does he have classmates at the doctoral level? Does he have doctoral graduation pictures? who supervised his doctoral dissertation?
