  Failed P(NDC)gov't policies of yore which sent Ghana HIPC cannot fix anything in Ghana, unless they are booted out, for a competent team to take over to put the country on a positive growth and development trajectory.

  I AM NOT SURE IF GHANA REALLY NEEDS FOREIGN CURRENCY BECAUSE THE PERSON WHO IS ISSUING POLICIES REGARDING FOREIGN CURRENCY HAS MISSED THE BOAT. ONE CAN KEEP FOREIGN CURRENCY IN DEVELOPED COUNTRIES. I CONCUR WITH THE FELLOW PUTTING HIS MONEY IN THE HOLE IN HIS HOUSE. NO ONE IN HIS/HER RIGHT MIND WILL PUT HIS HARD CURRENCY AND HAVE IT CHANGED INTO CEDIS THAT HAS BEEN FLUCTUATING RAPIDLY. I DID THE SAME THING, OF COURSE NOT INTO A HOLE. I AM KEEPING IT. IF YOU NEED HARD CURRENCY, YOU MUST PAY SOME INTEREST AND YOU DO NOT WANT TO DO SO, INSTEAD THE GENTLEMAN PUT IT INTO THE HOLE.OUR HARD CURRENCY IS OURS AND WORKED HARD FOR IT.   If it is factual that the government has to step in to direct the conduction of monetary policy in the country together with the government own responsibility of conducting fiscal policy, it is worrying indeed as to where the Ghanaian economy will be heading. The BOG is suppose to have smart, knife-sharp economists and monetary policy gurus to direct the monetary policy part of the economy to put in check the wild fiscal spending of the politicians. However, if the monetarists are reneging on their responsibilities or are not capable to handling their, they should all be shipped out and sent to their villages.
