We thank God that the match ended peacefully for both of them. We must, however, learn that in His great wisdom God doesn't frivolously reveal the courses of such mere events like boxing matches to anyone; God is not in the business of promoting people's selfish ambitions, placing them in positions to impose upon fellow human beings through false prophecies. We must remember to fully focus on God through Christ, who alone is "the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (Jn. 14:6). We must learn to walk paripasu with everyone else be they "prophets," pastors or whatever. We must not walk on this earth like second class citizens in Christ for it is "for freedom that Christ set us free" (Gal. 5:1). If you are walking on this earth and you think your spiritual favour comes from a fellow human being then you are miserable indeed. Don't let their titles bamboozle you. They like to invest themselves with those titles so that you'll fear them, prostrating yourselves before them instead of fearing only God, the Jealous God. Because Peter truly knew God, he was quick to say:"Stand up, I am ONLY a man" (Act 20:26). But these days the "prophets" are doing everything to tie us up to their belts not for a good reason but for cupidity. They want you to depend on them as the dispenser of spiritual favour, the ones that can wreak victories for you at the wave of the wand, the ones who can tell you what time you are going to die, the ones to whom only God listens. The poor, the unsuspecting are the victims - many are the victims. The fact is if we want to succeed in our walk with God we can make ourselves prophets of His by our obedience to Him. By our love. Remember, it's our sins that hide us from Him. (Isaiah 59:2). If you choose to walk any how then you may need leeching "prophets" to protect you.
Just imagine what T.B. Joshua would have made of Ayitey's victory. God will not glorify him whose motives are suspect.
I wish the two boxers blessed, peaceful and joyful life in God through our Christ and that they be humble servants in their various churches, depending entirely on the love of our Christ. Amen.
