  I laugh about the name "Oral Roberts Ministry". This name alone should let people become alert, but the probleme with religious people is, their brain is swithed to unlogical thinking modus, thinking their salvation will come from God, Jesus, the scriptures and heaven. Non of this has ever happened and will ever happen. Their own self reliable responsibilities is what really counts and nothing else.

  Mark 7:9-13 And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition. For Moses said, Honour thy father and thy mother; and, Whoso curseth father or mother, let him die the death: But ye say, If a man shall say to his father or mother, It is Corban, that is to say, a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me; he shall be free. And ye suffer him no more to do ought for his father or his mother; Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.
  
  What do we do when faced with traditions?
  
  Acts 5:29 Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.
  
  The danger of traditions can also be seen when traditions usurp God's authority such as the change of the 7th day Sabbath (Saturday) in God's law to the 1st day of the week (Sunday). This change was made possible when church and state united under "Christian" Emperor Constantine of Rome in the 4th century AD.
  
  Traditions per se are not bad when they help us live the Christlike lives; they become baneful when we elevate them above God's word.
