Today Germany is supporting rice farming, tomorrow France is helping in ham farming. Now we hear Netherlands are doing what? Very soon, all our small scale exporters, and for that matter, no traditional exports will be AKEN over by these Europeans. The Indians came to Ghana to buy cashew, cocoa beans etc and they come clean company by company. Why do Europeans want to tie West African Markets to their whims and caprices? Because we have believed in handouts, we do not even know what time it is. AFRICA, IT'S OUR TIME. They need us more than we think. Their markets are choked. They are giving birth to 1 and 2 children and we are making the numbers. Our middle income ratio is growing. We are one of the emerging Markets and they have reached saturation points. Let us wake up. They gave our kings gun powder and took us slaves. Today, we can't grow cabbages in the midst of good weather, plenty sunshine, great soil etc. what is wrong with us? We have all it takes to do organic farming. In fact many people are already doing it. Europe should Give us a break.

We don't need foreign NGOs to come to town before our lecturers will let us improper chemical usage is killing us. I respect Austin Ghamer a lot because he is always educating the public I know he is motivated because he gets contracts but we also need our many book long people to get on radio and newspapers to educate the public on best practices in farming etc. you save lives, make some name and good money too. Let's not wait for NGOs to pay us stipends before we work.

Our Ghana Govt should support this project because our farmers are suffering .they don't have good market for their produce and funds for farming in-order for them to produce on large scale.
