Many have forgotten or had refused to acknowledge that the false and unneccessary judgement debt payments made by present and past governments to people and companies is what had brought us here with all this financial woes, and unfortunately people are trying to find fault with the present innocent and hard working team led by the finance minister Mr Terkper.
In honest terms the finance minister had done nothing wrong. I personally believe the problem lies with the way governments [NPP and NDC] and the Ghanaian labour force are less interested in taking good care of the nation's resources.
In reality Ghanaians as a whole are not very patriotic in practice in relation to all things pertaining to our nation. They failed to defend Ghana at courts but will do everything individually to defend their personal properties.
What a shameful behaviour, but they are happy to build their houses with 4x4 on their compounds and will praise all that they have to others.
But on the other hand they will never protect Ghana forgetting that this behaviour will surely leave Ghana in the financial mess we find ourselves today, so why the call of the head of the finance minister.
In short we have to be realistic in facing facts to help solve our problems by pinpointing everything that drag our economy into the pit without being poilitical and tribal bias. The foolishness of supporting party/ies against the nation is a policy that ought to change in our body politics daily.
Finally why do we all pretend, and not comment bitterly about the stealing strategy of judgement payments used by both the officials of the Ghana judiciary, the public sector workers and the governments [the parties] which harm our economy terribly but are rather interested in talking of other issues ONLY.
The qusetion is why should Ghana be paying judgement debts when we need money for developments and payments of public sector workers? Is it not a shameful matter? They can not defend Ghana but want to hold big positions in the nation's affairs. You are Ghanaians and you know much about the false judgement debts paid to people and companies, and the huge sums of money involved.
To buttress my point just consider the few, namely the drill ship, NPP payment of 35 million Euro to Waterville, and NDC payment of 25 million Euro to Woyome, the latest revelation of 260,000 GH cedis paid to one Abbam/n by the NPP in 2005. Just continue with what you also know about the judgement debts, and it will surely help us to know how the people steal the nation's wealth through their stealing srategies.

Ghana's economy has been weak since independence, and Kwame Nkrumah aim was to rectify this situation.
Seth Tekper's removal is not the solution. The drive for a strong economy should start with sustainable commercial agriculture and serious food processing using greenhouses where applicable and Ghanaian made machinery and equipment.
All strong economies around the world have local tractor manufacturing or assembly plants.Ghana had none. Depending on hoe and cutlass farming mainly is not the way forward.

But I agree with Pratt that we need to look in the direction of state policy but you see, state policy is the result of Group think. And a group is made up persons, with some being key in the arrival of Group decisions . Logically, you've got to go after the key ones. The Divestiture implementation committee is the result of state policy. There is a state law backing it. So To change it, you need key people to convince others to repeal the law. You've got to do things step by step else if you go straight at the problem, you might mistaken it as a monster and flee.
