This same "minister" was blasted by the TUC for making useless comments and praise-singing just two weeks ago. Instead of considering what Bawumia says he simply insults all the financial brains in Ghana. A minister? My foot.

The truth is that you should tell your members that they should stop charging fees for extra classes and teach to get results.

I am afraid it's Addai-Poku who needs education on wage issues. When the Finance Minister is preparing the budget, does he consult teachers, lecturers or organised labour, hell no. As a public servant, the Finance Minister is Addai-Poku's paymaster. It is government fiscal policy to place a moratorium on public sector wage increase and recruitment. In the UK, when the current government assumed office, the Chancellor in his first budget, did exactly that. Organised labour had been demostrating since, but George Osbourn had refused budge. Who is Addai-Poku to lecture a finance minister? Dude!! Does he appreciate the enormity of the task of a finance minister? Talking about collective bargaining, he should know that it's the task of the finance minister to introduce policy regarding public/civil servant emoluments, which is then interpreted and enforced by the Fair Wages Commission on behalf of the state through interactions with organised labour. Muppet of a teacher, who needs education.
