This report is very disturbing and a danger to Ghana's oil. It appears the oil curse is already in Ghana. Ghanaian politicians are sleepwalking into giving Ghana's oil away to their foreign cronies on the cheap. These foreign companies are fronted by greedy and selfish Ghanaians who are given peanuts by their foreign collaborators so they can secure oil agreements in Ghana to be sold for profit without investing a cent in Ghana. Ghanaians are also used to make such international agreements appear local in order to avoid the international agreement being sent to parliament for approval. This has been happening in mineral concessions as well, where some foreign companies are fronted by Ghanaians to secure land for mineral prospecting but instead they sell licence to another foreign company, pocket their profit and leave Ghana without doing any work.

The forgery of a minister's signature to claim that the company has oil concession rights in Ghana and to use the same forged signature and document to raise funds in the international market is dangerous because Ghana is being sold on the international capital market. An investor will end up owing a piece of Ghana without stepping foot on Ghana and s/he would go to the international court to assert that right in Ghana. Ghana may end up paying judgement debt as compensation to such investors for her failure to manage her affairs well. Interestingly, the Ghanaian fronting this fraud is the son of a Ghanaian diplomat and probably close to the NDC. My question is, are Ghanaians anti-Ghana? Sometimes, I wonder why Ghanaians do this to Ghana.

It is also true that recent oil agreements that have been approved have gone to cronies of the ruling NDC. Therefore, that is the basis of my statement. I could be wrong but that is not very stupid but rather rational. Learn how to argue and state your side of the case to prove that you are right and the other person is wrong without being abusive. Calling a fool will get Ghana nowhere but the poor state of affairs in Ghana as at today. Have a nice day.

i dont see the Europeans offering the other benefits such as the freedom of movement and insisting on visa free entry into their countries. they are not offering half a trillion for infrastructural development and real assistance in bettering the standard of the people of west Africa . this is a war that will destroy any chances of self reliance and self development . see what they have done to our poultry , fish and beef industry . until we have people who understand the issues and the true hidden agendas and dangers of such a one sided agreement where the benefits are only for the Europeans we should not engage in any such devastating experiments . EPA is being pushed now because they are aware pepeni is an illigimate president , even now the video of the murder of atta mills is being circulted in private circles and one day soon he will be overthrown so he is rushing to put another yoke and burden on the people of Akan. this govt can only borrow and can not even secure investments of 30 billion dollars how do they expect to handle a multitrillion agreement which in reality denies your own people the right to develop their own industry. our industrial base is less than 3% by the way. lets not allow this foolishness to pass , its time for a revolution so we restart the future for our children. we shall never surrender

The sad part is that instead of the government addressing the numerous scandals and putting the economy in a sound footing for the betterment of the whole country, that has taken a backseat to the government main agenda of winning power again in 2016, more than two years ahead whilst it has not even fulfilled ten percent of the manifesto promises it made to Ghanaians in 2012.

Ndc is more concerned of winning elections and less concerned about fulfilling its campaign promises and we cannot blame them because in Ghana we vote by tribal and political affiliations irrespective of the record of the record of the people and party. Ndc is now telling us it will win the next election with ease despite its disastrous record. We get what we vote for because we vote our emotions without consulting our brains.

What kind of people do we have in positions of trust in this country? Or we just have to start killing some of them to serve others right. Whiles majority of us are finding it extremely diificult to pay the fees of our children, a very few are reaping where they do not sow. This should not be swept under the carpet as usual! By the way, why are they hinding all these business of the explorations and the contracts from us? Where is the opposition in parliament? One would have thought that, they would learn lessons from Nigeria and other countries in regards to this oil business. This allegations, if true, would go a long way to tarnish the image of the industry. Those involved should be punished especially, the so called Ghanaian diplomat´s son! Ghanaians deserve better than this! We have had enough!

It is disturbing that all these fraud is happening around our oil industries whiles the common Ghanaian whose life it is supposed to benefit is not benefiting. That this company Miura has fraudulently acquired the signature of our min of energy is worrying.That it has already benefited and bagged one thousand and five hundred dollars whiles Ghanaians are yet far from benefitting makes the whole transaction fraudulent and corruption on the part of the Ghanaian side. But to also say contracts should also be awarded only to companies that have the financial strength to execute such jobs is not practicable. No company can sorely finance oil contracts without resorting to financial houses. Is not possible. The writer is ignorant there. Even Cosmos that came to Ghana and did well can not boast of their own capital. Businesses all over the world can not have to be financial sound before they go for contracts, if they have a good source of funding that should not be a problem. I also agreed that non openness of contracts makes them attractive to fraud, contracts should be open for all to see and be published who wins what so as to expose the fraudulent ones after all information is available.
