A Police officer is directing traffic at a busy intersection when he observed a blind man and his seeing-eye dog waiting to cross.
To his horror, he watched as the seeing-eye dog bolted across the street, dragging the blind man behind him.
On the other side of the road, the man pulled out a cookie and offered it to his dog.
The officer ran to the blind man and said, "Don't you realize your dog could have killed you, and now you're going to reward him?"
The blind man said to the policeman, "Why, no sir, I'm just trying to find out where his head is so I can kick his ass."

Perhaps the government of Ghana wants Southern Africans to experience traditional and ancient savannah life.

Can someone tell me the equivalence of Postgraduate degree in Ghana compared with US? Here in the US, undergraduate (undergrad) = bachelor degree; graduate (grad) = master's degree; Ph.D. = doctorate degree. So, my question is : where do we place Postgraduate degree in this spectrum? In Ghana, I was given to understand that Graduate = bachelor degree; and Postgraduate = master's degree. Am I right or wrong? Please, I need an academic approach, not a political one, to my request.

Kwami, under the British system (and of course Ghana's), when you "graduate" from university with Bachelor's degree, you are a university graduate. When you go further after graduation, it only makes sense they call that "post graduate". So post graduate is Master's and beyond. I think in the US, even those who complete high school are called high school graduates. So why should some one who has graduated from university not be a university graduate? That is one of the things Americans learnt wrongly from the British.

I wish the UDS authorities had taken president Mogae to visit the Mole Game Park and to encourage south south cooperation among others in the tourism.
Another suggestion is for the Vice Chancellor Professor Yakubu to initiate the publication of the summary of serious research by his students in the newspapers. The state owed Daily Graphic, Times, Mirrow and Spectator could take the lead. In the UK, The Guardian publishes interesting research by students once a month thus bringing research and development closer.

"He also urged the new Doctors and other health practitioners in the country to work hard and save life’s as pertains in the Hippocratic oath that they have sworn instead of monetizing the profession". If even our leaders cannot appreciate that times have changed since the days of Hippocrates, why won't we still be farming with hoes and cutlasses today? Hello Mr. Vice President, Hippocrates lived in the BC era. Things are vastly different now and we need to change our thinking to move the country forward and stop using BC era theories instead of facing up to the demands of today.

The honour conferred on the former President of Botswana, Festus Mogae is a very laudable thing the University of Development Studies has done on Ghana's behalf. It is an honour I believe that expresses the love and respect of the people of Ghana, for not only Festus Mogae but also the people of Botswana.
I am however very disappointed with the poor manner in which the report was made. So many errors in construction and grammar. Take for instance the first paragraph, what does making rapid 'process'mean? We make rapid progress to catch up with the rest of the world-not rapid process.
The second paragraph should not have two 'whys',they rendered the statement meaningless.
Please in the future, someone needs to ensure that news of such importance is well edited before posting on this site. Anything short of that will be a disgrace.
