Nonsense what is the future of a pregnant girl in SHS in present chaotic and difficult Ghana?Lets teach them sex education at an early age so that they don't become pregnant.A pregnant girl is likely to fail and drop out.

I know with this unguarded remarks from this Central Regional Director, our educational system is going to find itself in further crisis. I am sure in no time school authorities will be told that students can have sex on the school premises because they are matured enough and that the acts of these students do not affect any persons.

The intriguing aspect of this Director's directive is that, students should not be driven away to collect fees owed and that once a student has registered with WAEC, there is a contract between WAEC and that student. Granted that is the case, then WAEC should be doing everything in respect of the said exams.mWAEC then should be registering the students and not the school authorities. What it will mean is that the schools can have the right of refusing to register a student who owes fees. Again the WAEC should build its own exams center so that students whose bad behaviors will not conduce to their continued presence in a particular school will not come and disturb the students. Tweaa this populist remarks and comments really piss some of us off

Come again Efo!! Are you saying that a pregnant girl should not be allowed to write exams??. when a student registers to write exams, the contact is between the student and WEAC. The school can use other channels to collect their money owed them but they cannot prevent the student from writing the exams. I hope you are not a teacher!!

If they can't with reasonable excise. They have to repeat,rewrite the final. Those who can't pay their tuition can still write their final. They cant get their results unless all tuition is repaid. Too many fools in gh!

You don't know what you are talking about. I don't subscribe to a student not being allowed to write exams because of pregnancy. However, a student can be banned from writing an exam if that student commits some offences, especially if they are criminal. Students who register through a school don't have a wholesale right. That is why at our time we had the NOV/DEC GCE. Over there, one can even be in labor at the exams room but can still write the exams. But let our girls write the exams even if they are pregnant. Sometimes, such pregnancies are caused by SOME BIG MEN in society who receive no sanctions.

Instead of the Board to make a good recommendations to prevent such cases, they are out there preventing them not to take exams. It does not get useless as this.
