Did the GHS have ownership documents on the land ? If yes, why did the Land Dept allow the sale ? If the GHS has no ownership documents, then the landlords were right in selling their land.

on the other hand, if it's determined that the health ministry's payment did not reach the land owner, whoever is keeping the payment no longer has a job; he/she be equally thrown in jail for the criminal intent, and we shall all be happy again.
we've reached a level, where dubious acts must face the law and it be swift accordingly. no more 'ifs', no more 'buts', and no more 'may be'; our senses had to work arithmetically, like one(1)+(1)one is always equal to two(2). how nice it is!

This is a flimsy excuse to blindfold the masses. Where is the money to build such a hospital in Ghana today? Tell us the truth, the money is not there.

Government-acquired land IS AND REMAINS GOVERNMENT-ACQUIRED LAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We are a nation of laws. When government acquires land, some financial arangement is made with the owners of the land, a legal title to the land is issued (the change of ownership) that states the extent of the land (the acreage). Whether the previous owners of the land have "sold" the land is not government's problem. According to the law and registration of the land, the government is the LEGAL OWNER. The legal authorities in the Western Region are OBLIGED to ENFORCE the law and protect a government asset. Any structures on the land should be DEMOLISHED. Furthermore, the government should prosecute those who sold the land AND those who purchased the land for receiving stolen goods!
The W/R authorities are not serious. A goodbye ceremony is not the appropriate place, time and forum for disclosing a CRIMINAL ACT perpetrated against the government. There can only be one reason for this ridiculous situation - COLLUSION AND CONNIVING by the W/R authorities!

I am very, very, very, very, very sorry that Ghanaians and their so call experts cannot not see, realize, think fathom, dream, smell, and feel that our 1992 constitution is the cause of all our woes, our dilemma, our troubles, lack of development, corruption, looting of our money, and misrule. This military democratic dictatorial constitution which gives all powers to the president and his few henchmen has borne fruits to all our woes in the country. It has given all the powers unchallenged to one person and a few of his selected henchmen, and guides them to do what ever they want to do unchallenged. All that is left for the populace to do is criticize them but such criticisms don't even get in touch with even the coats they wear and to get to their skin. I wonder why President Kuffour didn't see it. why Mills didn't see it and why Mahama is continuing to rule with such a dictatorial and undemocratic constitution. I know. POWER SWEET so they all pretended to be blind. This has resulted in public insults, desperation, and disappointment among Ghanaians leaving the country to what it is today. I pray that this would not be a nine day wonder. May God give Mr. Nduom all the knowledge, experience, and the strength to embark on such a journey. It is only by this route that Ghana can find its lost glory and right approach to develop. AMEN

What is the problem if the land owners sold their land?. Of course they are entitled to do so unless Madam Mochia can tell us otherwise. The government cannot just take land from people without coming to some form of negotiation for compensation. There is evidence that government did not use land acquired from the land owners in Accra for development for the benefit of the people or nation. Instead the prime land was irresponsibly and selfishly apportioned to the party men including ministers and cronies.

Who oversees what in Effia Nkwanta hospital? Who exactly is responsible for the hospital,s properties, including their land? The land on which the hospital sits is even being encroached upon and no one says anything. How can they take care of newly acquired land? The Lands department, so corrupt that even if they see government property being sold, they would rather collect money and sign documents than to raise alarm or prevent buyers to possess Government property. Now we all see why Ghana is always going down. We all need a different mindset towards Government properties(our properties). We also need stong laws ang good enforcement of those laws to prevent people taking Government properties for granted. Bring all those in conection with the sale of Effia Nkwanta properties to book. Dont also spare those in-charge of the hospital properties.
