this govt is soaked in corruption and has compromised our future with their shady deals with the Chinese . you talk of humble beginnings only to support those who destroy any chances we have at a better future for our children . you pass laws on GMO that will eventually have a devastating effect on our agriculture just because of a few pieces of silver bribes or what you now term as lobbying . you ndc have no heart or conscience just look at what your police are doing to the small enterprises and the weaker in our society . we here of heart wrenching stories of police so power drunk that they arrest drivers carrying goods and hold them in custody for enough days so the produce be it fish or other perishables get spoilt as they want bribes. small capital of a few thousand cedis goes up in smoke because of this callous selfish corrupt attitude and we say our economy is collapsing but dont realise the backbone of our economy are these very same small businesses be it selling roasted plantain on the street corner or traders in the market . you drive around in you air conditioned cars with police escorts so you dont get stuck in traffic but do nothing to implement solutions that will make it easier for the common man . you spend all your time scheming and conspiring so the people because of your propaganda are perpetually confused and remain ignorant . yes we call for a revolution to clear this oligarchy and if we have our way before then end of this year Ghana will burn so out of the fire the pure gold of our nation will come out . your govt is cursed and will never do anything good for our people as you will remain blind to what is visible to all righteous souls and never know the right way forward even if its presented to you . your legacy will be only one of deepened tribalism , corruption ,treason and betrayal of the national interest assisted by your Chinese criminals . all institutions of state are a disappointment and failure as they are so corrupt they no longer serve their purpose . if we do not stop you the tribalism and anti Akan agenda will become institutionalized .your govt has not created a single sustainable business rather collapsed many industries we inherited from Nkrumah and before.under the guise of minority rights you would rather promote sodomy instead of legalizing marijuana as you are more attracted to perversion and gutter morals than doing the right thing . ndc where is your integrity and common sense ?

It is a welcome news and that is if the president is going to walk the talk and not just give us lip service. There are just about 2 million people paying tax to the government, out of this about a third work for the government and being paid by our tax money, out of this they pay themselves huge salaries and other benefits that makes a working mans earnings a pittance yet they do not want to pay tax.
It is time the whole constitution is test in the courts of law if they in parliament fail to apply it appropriately as in this FCUBE implementation. In the 1992 constitution, it is stated in Act 38, that in two years of rawlings coming into power there should be a 10 year plan to implement the FCUBE, (free, compulsory, universal, basic, education). This was the constitutional obligation of the rawlings government, and they did not implement that constitutional obligation. So the courts must interpret to us the acts of the parliaments.
We should start taking our leaders to task after all we put them there. Awake for Ghana.

Also, what type of democracy is Dr Nduom suggesting we practice? He said nothing about that. Democratic ideology is not really bad but as skeleton what flesh do put on? Can't we model something that can serve us better than just copying anything from the west? American's democratic governance is now proven to be just good in political structures but both internally and externally is their democracy we are copying dented with self interest, bullying, etc. Is taking away the world' privacy democratic? Killing innocent lives with drones legal? Is everything white good for black?

We have come to know! How many times has this gentleman tried to run for the office he now describes as akin to a "military dictatoship"? Also bear in mind that he is one individual who has taken enormous credit for 'reforming' our governance structure! Think about the the many attempts he has tried for the top-most position in this country[the Presidency] and failed! After three unsucessful attempts to secure the coveted position under the banner of the CPP,and not prepared to give way to others, this charlatan broke away from the CPP to form the PPP,which he continues to lead!
This Paa Yorke character,in my view, represents the worst of our current political structure. He, Paa Kwesi Nduom, symbolizes the 'evils' of our current political dispensation! Who believes this guy or any of the other "vuvuzelas" who covet the Presidency, want it to help the ordinary Ghanaian?

What Paa Kwesi Nduom fails to tell us or does not know is that the president of the U.S. can use the military there to usurp power without responsibility in another country, steal the resources of that country and enjoy the loot after he leaves office. A Ghanaian president has not got all that human resource and technology at his disposal, the executive, judiciary and security services can not protect opium trade so as to gain from it.
For instance the U.S. armed hooligans to go and seize parliamentarians in Kiev force them to sign a treaty with E.U. and at the same time against the people of Crimea from having a referendum to decide on their future. I hope that the future president that Nduom want to pay tax will not be imposed on the people of Ghana by a mob. Democracy in the U.S. and her NATO partners is just a ruse to leap people astray from the real issue that confront them.
Some people say that Nduom has made a lot of reforms in the civil service, but have those reforms enabled civil servants to perform better? So someone is telling me that a civil service with 35 years experience needs a U.S. trained to reform it. And U.S. is still paying its civil servants according to their race.

Rawlings with a military background and evil past designed a bogus constitution that will protect him and also concentrate power in a central position as a result of his belief in the regimental heirachy system normally associated with military regimes. When thief Kufuor took over the mantle of leadership he saw the loophole alright but his inclination to engage in petty stealing prompted him to maintain the status quo. The end result is that today we have northerners ruling his native people, the Akans, as DCEs. This is some thing that will never happen in the north. This is how far our useless university graduates have brought us.

What a foolish frustrated man! I thought this man has any sense in his brains. How many times has Kufour pay tax whiles the president of Ghana? By the way, what does Ndoum means when he said, "Ghana´s democracy modeled after military dictatorship" This is the foolish hopeless man who have presidential ambitions. If this foolish man has any sense at all, he would know that former president Rawlings did not take part in the drfating of the constitution. A traitor of the highest order. A tax evader for that much! I cry for mother Ghana if these things like Ndoum are the people who who want to rule this country. Foolish useless man. A dirty thief.

The premier university of Ghana - The University of Ghana Legon sadly does not appear in the top
500 universities on earth. This must be corrected immediately. The university in order to achieve this must improve:
1) Faculty student ratio
2) The number of research projects it carries out
3) The test scores of its entry class (internationally normalised)
4) Employers' review of performance of its graduates (local and abroad)
5) Peer review by other universities

Nduom should be lecturing members of parliament and not the voting public. After all it is these educated and the not so educated fools past and present who enacted laws currently in place and deemed themselves above the law. It was in this culture J.J Rawlings and Kufour were able to trample on every Ghanaian under their respective years in office. It was in that same atmosphere the current shameless Chief Justice of Ghana's Supreme Court, Georgina Woods, would accept and buy property belonging to the nation and think it to be moral and principled. It was these infantile laws and concepts of banana republic laws of kangaroo courts that allowed for the members on the Supreme Court to rule it was perfectly legit for Jake Obetsebi-Lamptey to buy a government bungalow from the very NPP administration in which he serves. The corrupt practices of the nation have been enshrined in the constitution by our corrupt, contemptible, spineless, morally bankrupt legislative body called parliament. These are the very people who incite the lowest of the low amongst us to march and demonstrate even when they do so for their own benefit.
It is truly sad that the educated and political elite class of this nation has collaborated to steal and mismanage Ghana's economy for so long and yet there are many uneducated and under-educated tribal zealots acting as foot soldiers for these party leaders to continue holding power over 23million Ghanaians. It is no wonder every other civilized and the not so civilized nations out there think Ghana is ripe for the pickings and thus they raid and or buy our minerals and natural resources on the cheap.

The good question every sensible person may like to ask and to know is where was Nduom when the said constitution that he disagrees with was written?
These are some of the foolish people who sleep but when the preparation of the food is finished then they would show up and start to critisize this and that, whereby using words which they feel make them to be loved, and I quote;''Ghana's democracy modeled after military dictatorship''.
There should not be argument about this if your discovery has brought you the knowledge to realise that the failure of a president etc to pay tax could not be helpful to the nation's growth. That is fine and welcome, but your labelling of it as a ''military dictatorship'' exposed you to a real foolish man without vision who wants to lead a nation.
After all those who participated to formulate the constitution did their best at that time, and even where were you, and therefore if today you have a point, nice and worth considering, still that never makes you in anyway better than those who were involved in the wtiting of the said constitution.
You can never be a president because your thoughts are not welcome by the powers in the Heavens. At least the outcome of the said constitution helped the nation to make a start from somewhere.
Every constitution has the possibilty to review it in the future, and if you know this then there is no need to put up a funny discription. All you need is to present your views and make sure it is well understood.
With your presidential aspiration in sight you need not to make baby political statements. Do you think all the peole are village people like those from your village? Sit down and think properly from today.

Paa Kwesi you're right with just one omission in your submission, Nkrumah's own dictatorship. Infact military dictatorship was a carry over from the experience of the Nkrumah era dictatorship. Many politicians outside the political sphere of influence and power abhor dictatorship of any form until they ascend to power only to realize that constitutional power is not enough to maintain a tight grip over their domain. They end up craving for absolute power which corrupts absolutely.
It's unconscionable and morally wrong that the President and other Article 71 public office holders. What happened to leadership by example? Any more wonder successive presidents have been very lax on tax collection?
