The economy is already ruined under the NDC gov't on the back of sheer thievery and blatant looting with incompetence at its apogee. NDC gov't has finished Ghana and crash landed the country in the pits.

The government and the opposition must sit together and come up with a blueprint supported by all the parties to deal with and stop the unnecessary financial burden put on the the government by the inefficient use and the stealing of monies allocated to the public sector. It is a problem that will confront all governments and a cross party agreement to solve this problem is the best way out.Financial leakages in the public sector is the main reason for the financial difficulties the nation is faced with now. There is the urgent need for this problem to be tackled or the country will go burst. The withdrawal of financial support from outside should rather tell the government that it is necessary for it to spend in line with its revenue receipts. It is a sign that the nation should wean itself from external financial dependence.

Some of the major imports including cement, petroleum, timber, canned tomatoes, and rice can all be found in Ghana yet we import.
