I strongly believe in the professionalism of the regional police Commander, DCOP Ken Yeboah and his men who have so far made Tamale a peaceful place to sort any bad nuts out and provide the needed security for the people of Tamale and the Northern region in general.

The fact here is, Ken and his dedicated men and women can not provide the required security and peace without the co-operation of the entire people of Tamale.

My humble appeal to the Chiefs and the community leadership to resist generating unnecessary troubles which at the end takes the freedom of their own people from them. They must also stop giving the over-stretched police officers sleepless nights in Tamale which is notoriously becoming a hot spot for hooligans and rampagers.

Lets give peace a chance and be law abiding.

As bad as they are, the police also have their own problems as a result of bad and irresponsible governments.

I think that those Kandahar boys should simply be lined up and flogged with horse-whips for them to properly understand what being backward means.

Police stations, courts and jail sentences don't mean a thing to them. In fact spending time in jail is probably a notch better for them than sleeping at home with their grand fathers, mothers, fathers, brothers and sisters, goats, cows and cockroaches in the same one-room thatched-roofed mud huts.

I was born in Tamale grew up in Kumasi and I remember my last visit to Tamale I was told by one of this hooligans that Tamale belongs to them in the presence of Azoka and Asima.
If you have a city where both old and child will swear to Allah by lying what do you expect? The commonest thing in Tamale at my last visit was VAGINA. They sell it without shame. Young ladies riding motor bike to Guest houses and hotels for prostitution.

It is becoming extremely difficult and embarrassing doing police wotk in the Northern Region these days because of an obvious reasons. Most of the Policemen who want to strictly enforce the to the later are mostly charstise and sometimes fabricated allegations put on them. And when the unfounded stories get to corridors of power without any investigation to ascertain the truth, those policemen are victimised. As a result this development even policemen of Northern extraction do not want to be posted there and also police administration in most cases transfer personnel there as punishment grounds. Hence a lot of policemen who are posted there would want to play it safe.
