Nobody can hide the light and true destiny of the great nation of Akan. they use all kinds of schemes and tricks to undermine or deny a proper standard to us but we shall never surrender. we shall change and adapt as like the Israelis we are the chosen people of God and he in his great design has made us diverse but unified in spirit. the ashantis like the tribe of Judah are and will remain an integral part of our being to to attack any one part we all end up feeling it sooner or later. they have succeed in turning some of our chiefs and kings against us and work for their evil ungodly agenda but we still see clearly . God has brought us into the 21st century and with that a new system of governance and state of mind based on democracy since it is HE alone who blesses the individuals with the gift of leadership wisdom and justice irrespective of status at birth. he has shown us the blue print of the way forward in the bible and other holy books and the time has come to free ourselves from this man made bondage called Ghana. just as in the Ukraine we must fight so the truth will come out , fear not the battle as they will crumble like the walls of Jericho . cast away our so called fake leaders and politicians who are nothing but cowards and like our enemies fear even their own shadows . yes God has put a million fears in their empty bodies as he who does not fear the Lord , the Lord will ensure all fears of the world will reside in him. They threaten us with superstition , juju and what have you and we say fuck you and go to hell as the divine power is with us . Yes all the tribes of Akan are fingers on the same hands and God has ordained we remain united so our strength and light will be visible throughout the whole world and universe , our time has come . everyday its becoming clearer and clearer to all children of Akan that we must prepare mentally for a battle of freedom . they come with tricks that say we must take a non Akan as our leader because its nice ? do they not think that out of 30 million Akans we can not find sensible down to earth leaders and warriors to lead our own people to our own destiny? a govt of the people and by the people is what the 21st century democracy is all about . let them continue to play with the consensus and other figures that justify their fantasy and enable them to marginalize the participation of the Akan majority in the Affairs of their own land , to marginalize us thus preventing us to afford a better standard for our people . The had of God has given them pestilence after pestilence but they refuse to let our people go , soon they will be swept away like chaff in the hurricane of fury . Long live the republic of Akan and don't you forget it as now the Fanti speakers, Twi speakers, Ashantis and other tribes of Akan are now one .

Hello, are you OK, or you need some help? You seem stuck in some hallucination. You got the Millennium right but everything else warped.
Do you have your own God, one that looks solely for the interests of Akans? Gee, did He give you any 10 commandments for Akans. Or, He just revealed to you what He had in store for us alone? Wow! Akans. the Chosen People, huh? Educate us to know how we all Akans share in your prophetic aspirations. On what basis were we chosen? Our exclusive morals? Our exceptional faith? Are you our Moses? So, where then would be our Canaan, or we are already there? Are we there yet?!!
How could you see Akans being so much cheated out of the National cake while the only 2 Citizens among your 30 Million Ghanaians who privately own any shares in our Oil deposits or shares are Akan and particularly, Ashanti? The very first installment of revenues from those shares was reported to be more than $350 Million.
What did God tell you about that money and how have the owners used it to benefit Akans or Ashantis? I guess you have not gotten your check yet for your part? Oh, I forgot that it all belongs to just the 2 hardest working Ashantis. That is the sweet fruit of 'Property Owning Democracy'--the oxymoronic emphasis of getting wealthy at all cost.
By the way, why worry if you die rich or poor, if you get cheated by non-Akans or Akans? After all "All die be die".
You may be better off to never come out of your trance.
Long Live Ghana!!!

HOWEVER, THE DIRECTIVE COULD HAVE BEEN AS A RESULT OF SERVERAL REPORTS OF THE UNDERPERFORMANCE AND FREQUENT SICKNESSES OF OFFICERS OF 55 YEARS AND ABOVE WHILE ON UN MISSION DUE TO THE STREEFUL ENVIRONMENTS THEY WORK OFTEN RESULTED IN VARIOUS SICKNESSES AND EVEN DEATH. THE YOUNGER OFFICERS ARE CAPABLE OF CUSHIONING STRESS THAN THE AGED ONES. PREVIOUSLY, THE FORMER IGPs ALLOWED THE OFFICERS OLDER THAN 55 YEARS TO GO ON THE UN MISSION TO GIVE THEM "AN ENHANCED PENSION" BEFORE THEY RETIRED WHICH WAS A VERY GOOD IDEA; BUT I THINK THEIR HEALTH IS PARAMOUNT. THE OLD ONES ABOVE 55 YEARS ARE IN THE MINORITY SO I DO NOT SEE HOW THIS CAN BRING TENSION IN THE POLICE SERVICE. THE WRITER MUST COME AGAIN.

There were guys who joined the same year who were far older than me, probably in their 30s. i know a whole lot of people who have done that, they work with much lesser age than theirs. Now lets look at the reality of the issue. people can be effective at their job even if they are 80. Old people in general are susceptible to stress and other negative things. Also, we are found of sensationalising everything instead of looking at the reality behind issues. we are complaning of unemployment, how many people are over the retirement age and are still working, am not saying every over 60 years old should not work. The indispensible ones should continue to work untill a suitable replacement is found. all this amounts to corruption we are talking about.

Come on, Mahama is a hypocrite. If Ghanaians do not have short memories, they should react especially to Mahama's intentions to establish the free education system, the idea proposed by his close contestant in the last elections which he vehemently protested to and which he now proposes. If this is not hypocrisy, what do you call it?
If he refuses to be clean, he will surely live to regret and maybe he would not be affected but it would be to the detriment to his poor tribesmen.

If the UN mandate allows for ages 55 and above for such missions, why would the IGP single-handedly impose that restriction?
If there are any age group that deserves that assignment most it is those near retirement and beyond. This is because the assignment would be filled with experienced personnel whose performance could always be exemplary enough for Ghana to keep earning that Contract with UN.
The other reason is that folks are living longer after retirement these days while their retirement benefits are not large enough to guarantee them any decent living till they pass away. So, assignments like these could help them make up the difference without any burden on our Government resources. These duties could also alleviate the Government of any pressure to extend the benefits for these folks as they age further, and also offer incentive to avoid pre-retirement corruption among the Police Personnel.
Denying these Officers the opportunity sounds suicidal for the Government.
Besides, the directive calls into question the IGP's moral compass as to why he benefitted from that assignment plus further consideration to hang around longer, beyond his retirement age, but is denying others similar chance.
Is it out of some egregious selfishness of his, or an attempt to get at some particular individual/s of that age group in his outfit, without exposing that the target was singled out?
The President via the Minister of Interior should immediately look into this charge and act to remedy the situation.

Sarpong, you may be right but I just wanted to give the Executive the benefit of doubt. At least, that could be a face-saving opportunity for the Executive to correct the error. Maybe I am being too kind.
Ever since Woyomegate, I have learnt that it is possible with the NDC Administration to have subordinates defy or ignore the Executive to do whatever they like, to our gross detriment. I remember someone saying Mills instructed that no monies be paid to Woyome but someone did, and other subordinates had part of the booty handsomely packaged for their wives.
And the President did not know!! The next natural expectation was that the President would order the monies retrieved immediately. We are yet to know if we got the monies back in our coffers. So much for an Executive in control.
Now, this major decision is supposed to have been made by yet another subordinate of the Executive. It would be easier for us in the Public to assume the President was kept in the dark on this so that we demand his attention for prompt remedy.

When the UN asks Ghanaian officers to go on mission, it is to go and work for pay; but it has become fashion for Ghanaians to think that they all should go because foreign money is being paid. Selfish as we are how can a 55 year old become a peace-keeper? How fast can he act or defend any refugee camp if raided by insurgents? Let’s stop the cinema and be serious otherwise the UN is going to take everything away when they discover our real intentions.

Perfectly right why would a 55yr old prefer to go to a battle front? They shd look NATO soldiers in Afghanistan? They are all in their 20s,even Russian soldiers in the Crimea are in their 20s.
UN Policemen are not on the war front. UN Policemen are usually sent to train Policemen for the host country and not to fight wars. Get your facts right.
