    Perfectly right why would a 55yr old prefer to go to a battle front?They shd look NATO soldiers in Afghanistan?They are all in their 20s,even Russian soldiers in the Crimea are in their 20s.

    UN Policemen are not on the war front. UN Policemen are usually sent to train Policemen for the host country and not to fight wars. Get your facts right.

    Progress involves some amount of change in the way we do things. We should do things in the best interest of the service and not for individuals. IGP don't be intimidated by the selfish old Policemen and women.

    It does not matter who at age what was serving in UN Missions-- That was then

    Now: There is an age cap at 54. That is the new directive. Time changes so does rules.
