There are myriad reasons why corruption is prevalent in Ghana.The one reason that pops up quickly to mind is the overwhelming majority of us who persistently partake in the practice.Everyone is living way beyond their means and nobody dares to ask why.
It use to be that the political elite were the ones who are graft-prone and the well skilled looters.Now almost all Ghanaians are enlisted in corruption schemes to the extent that no one is prosecuted.It has become another stream o.f earning an income if not a better one at that
We have an Attorney General who is waiting for the President to give her the green light to do her job.This Hamidu guy,is our sitting Minister of Agriculture.You'll think during the vetting process,members of the vetting committee would perform their due diligence and disqualify him for the position, but hell no he sailed through with flying colors.They failed to do their job 'cos everybody's hand is in the national kitty pot for the taking.
The path our nation is on would only lead to a failed State eventually 'cos we all are at fault and no one seems to recognize this fact.

The Gyeeda rot is a clear case of the John Mahama and Amissah Arthur led NDC gov't's reckless and nation-wrecking policy of CREATE, LOOT AND SHARE, officially sanctioned right from the very higher echelons of the Presidency, the Cabinet to loot taxpayer funds in a reckless manner and with wanton abandon, like there's no tomorrow. Such is the state of Ghana under the NDC gov't led by John Mahama, an apologetic and sorry state of affairs, which has earned Ghana the unenviable title of The republic of corruption under the NDC gov't. This is a completely unacceptable state of affairs and a title Ghana cannot and need not canonize in 2016 by retaining the NDC gov't. They should be massively voted out in 2016, for Ghana to progress and gain it's badly needed respect in the comity of nations.
