I concede that Nkrumah did quite a bit for the country but the unfortunately today’s CPP and Ghana is really Nkrumah’s legacy. It does seem like the whole CPP party was embedded in one person with focus on hero worshipping that when Nkrumah was removed the rest of the people and party died with him. We have had many so called Nkrumaist or socialist inclined rule the country – Nkrumah, Acheampong, Limann, Rawlings, Mills and Mahama and yet they have not been able to move the country forward. About 44 or so years of 57 years of independence has been in the hands of the socialist inclined governments.
I understand the nostalgia killing the CPP which my own family was a well-known one of but it does seem like they stopped living the Nkrumah mantra “forward ever, backwards never” as soon as Nkrumah was no longer in the picture. Obviously, the promotion of Nkrumah and even bringing his daughter in has not helped the party, the party needs to find a better way to revive the party than the promotion of its dead leader. The party needs a great new “living” leader, who can mobilize and change the party’s fortunes. All CPP does well now is to look backwards – it has become a “backwards ever” party.

That is why he had stood his grounds batting for foreign values instead of what Nkrumah stood for.What annoys him most from his write ups is that, what ever values Nkrumah propounds within the African cultural context is as well primitive because it contradicts SAS definition of a civilized culture.

From what we know, he did a dondology at Legon and came to the States with a dancing troupe. At Temple, one African American gave him the chance to further his studies in African American and Africana studies. So this is where ALL his knowledge of "African studies" began.

He got a "teaching Assistant" job at university of Pittsburgh after his PhD. But the students could hardly hear or understand his teaching. Most of them complains about his method of "chew, pour and pass" and that was why he was fired. But he sued the school for firing him because he was black. Talk about stupidity-
