They born to have their options. The question is, who in this world have the right to judge? The content in the bible is the rule of law that we must obey, but in it no where can be found or written to judge one another. It is written that, no one can serve two masters and also it is written that give what belongs to Caesar to Caesar. To me I think the option of mentality has been giving to individual to judge them selves but not to judge one another and human right is most important aspect in the world we must consider first. If Christianity believes that is God who made the bible then what is the problem to sentence an homosexual to life in prison. The Pope clarify his opinion, whom am I to judge, and he is right. It is just as to make your own mind whether you can afford to marry two or more. HOMOSEXUALS HAVE EVERY RIGHT TO HAVE THEIR RIGHT OF CHOICE.

It's a nice opinion but i think having the right to make your own choices doesn't mean you should choose anything that shows up. In that you have the right to do all things but not all things seem perfect before God/Allah.

I do not subscribe to homosexuality in any form but, I do not understand why any country/organization would withhold aid to another just because the latter does not tolerate homosexuality. How many states in the U.S. allow same sex marriages and yet no one is talking about human right abuses over there. Double standards in deed.

Some people murder, others misappropriate or embezzle state funds, others rape and destroy the lifes of especially women. But such people go scot free. In Ghana, so far, the government has not declared in favor or against homosexuality as in Uganda and Nigeria or South Africa. But individuals in the government have clearly manifested against or for in their individual capacities and that is their opinion just as what I write here is mine. It is likewise in many countries in Africa of which Senegal and Mauritania I mention earlier are part. It is my belief it is way to go when you have something called brain in your skull, and as thinking humans capable of emotions.

If you have a brother who is homosexual, would you hate him or called for incarceration for life because of his sexual orientation that opposes your gusto? Or would you call for his death? If you do, how does that make you Christian or Moslem?

We all know lesbianism has been very prevalent in Secondary Schools in mid-seventies. Did it start earlier? In mid-seventies, the population in Ghana hovered around 8 million. Now we are over 25 million. This together with the excessive media sensationalism have fueled the extravagant publicity about homosexuality making it appear as if the trend is higher.

To finish, I repeat, no one is "patronizing" homosexuality, but we can't kill homosexuals because of what they are. They aren't criminals.

Homosexuality is deviant but is it a criminal offence? They offend no one so they can't be given life sentences. The problem in our world is the excessive publicity being given it; that is what is worrying.

Homosexuality has being in Ghana for decades. We just don't want it shoved down our throats but we can't jail or harm them. The best is not to approve of it let alone legalize it, but we can't condemn it either because it can't be eradicated like some virus.

Sentencing them to life in prison would not solve any problem. Perhaps the best thing to do to homosexuals is to try to rehabilitate them so that they can live normal life. Definitely, something must be wrong with the minds of two men who choose to have an affair with each other when there are many beautiful women around- even animals don't do that. Until they are able to tell us what the bible explicably said about homosexuals, Aricans for that matter, shall continue to eliminate them among our societies. Apart from the religious point of view, it is unacceptable in Africa tradition to condone such babaric acts. Even animals don´t do it how much more species who called themselves human beings! Sadly, the West and Turkson think, for as far as these dirty homosexuals are concerned, the majority should be punished for their unpadonable acts. The Cardinal has a PHD in Scripture. Those of you criticizing him cannot match him in scripture. Please let all those calling the Cardinal names get to know that the Cardinal is not condoning homosexuality but is against the harsh treatment meted out to them. They do not deserve that. Let him who has not sinned be the first to cast the stone against the homosexual. I abhor it but for me those who are caught up in it should be treated as human beings and people created in the image of God. It is only people whose knowledge of the scriptures are too low and warped who would advocate for such stiffer punishment for gay people.
The Cardinal even went further as a priest, a man of God for that matter, to advocate that the donor countries should not cancel the aid to Uganda. If he did not want the welfare of the people of Uganda, he would not have given such a good advice and I think by this he has exhibited that he is a true man of God. He hates sin and not the sinner.
For those who think the Catholic Church is dying, better have a rethink. It is even growing stronger and stronger. The Catholic Church is first to admit that she is both sinful and holy, and that is a mark of humility. God exalts those who humble themselves and after all Jesus humbled himself and took our human weakness and became man like us. Can any biblical scholar tell me why Christ accepted baptism from John the Baptist? Was it not to identify himself with those (the sinners) he came to save? The Church is a hospital for sinners and not for the righteous. I will prefer a Church that has a room for the sinner and not a Church that has no room for the sinner. I think the Catholic Church teaches this and has rightly put this into practice which is in line with the teaching of Christ and what He Himself practiced. If God has been merciful to us, why can't we be merciful to others?
Those of you quoting from the book of Genesis to back your claims of how harshly homosexuals should be treated should come again. Remember, Christ taught with authority when it came to the law. He perfected it and thought us that the supreme law is love. Anybody therefore having love would not advocate that homosexuals be killed or be given such a harsh sentence.

The country, and indeed any other serious nation cannot condone such practices, and continue to pump so much funds into dealing with the by product of these immoral behaviors.

It is important that when a man of God is given a platform, he should be straightforward in presenting the position of God on the matter, instead of politics.

Let no one be deceived. It is important to repent from all ungodliness and be properly baptized in a living Church, and serve the Lord with a clean conscience.

for those of you who call yourselves christians what do you think Jesus Christ will say should he meet a homosexual? he wouldn't condemn them like you guys are doing . remember God loves the sinner not the sin so don't f#cking judge. it's so sad because modern day "christians" will crucify Jesus again should he come down without recognizing him because you have strayed so far away from his teachings.
secondly would you abandon your sibling just because he or she was gay. if you would you are a pathetic excuse for a human being and a waste of breath. we should learn to help others overcome their difficulties instead of shunning them.

i stress again i don't condone the act i just hate seeing people ostracized for being different. it just drives the problem underground and makes it worse. no one here is as spotless as they would like everyone to believe.
