Democracy that we are practicing today really put us at great loss of our sense and humanity. Frankly speaking, we need to organize our own democracy the way it will suit a black man. This particular too boot at Legon, when it was first introduced almost all the opposition parties were against it completely with out any reservations. All of a sudden, when National security officials demolished it, the same opposition came out and against it. So now looking at it very well, where are this people coming from? Are they stomach politicians to a point of just opposing anything that ruling party do? It sound nonsense from from all angle of opposition. At the end of the day, you found that, Ghanaians are so wicked and stupid that, what ever is said to them, they quickly accept it with judging it by using their sense. But rather go and support whatever that may result in their favour even if it is bad to all Ghanaians.

Nobody can hide the light and true destiny of the great nation of Akan. they use all kinds of schemes and tricks to undermine or deny a proper standard to us but we shall never surrender. we shall change and adapt as like the Israelis we are the chosen people of God and he in his great design has made us diverse but unified in spirit. the ashantis like the tribe of Judah are and will remain an integral part of our being to to attack any one part we all end up feeling it sooner or later. they have succeed in turning some of our chiefs and kings against us and work for their evil ungodly agenda but we still see clearly . God has brought us into the 21st century and with that a new system of governance and state of mind based on democracy since it is HE alone who blesses the individuals with the gift of leadership wisdom and justice irrespective of status at birth. he has shown us the blue print of the way forward in the bible and other holy books and the time has come to free ourselves from this man made bondage called Ghana. just as in the Ukraine we must fight so the truth will come out , fear not the battle as they will crumble like the walls of Jericho . cast away our so called fake leaders and politicians who are nothing but cowards and like our enemies fear even their own shadows . yes God has put a million fears in their empty bodies as he who does not fear the Lord , the Lord will ensure all fears of the world will reside in him. They threaten us with superstition , juju and what have you and we say fuck you and go to hell as the divine power is with us . Yes all the tribes of Akan are fingers on the same hands and God has ordained we remain united so our strength and light will be visible throughout the whole world and universe , our time has come . everyday its becoming clearer and clearer to all children of Akan that we must prepare mentally for a battle of freedom . they come with tricks that say we must take a non Akan as our leader because its nice ? do they not think that out of 30 million Akans we can not find sensible down to earth leaders and warriors to lead our own people to our own destiny? a govt of the people and by the people is what the 21st century democracy is all about . let them continue to play with the consensus and other figures that justify their fantasy and enable them to marginalize the participation of the Akan majority in the Affairs of their own land , to marginalize us thus preventing us to afford a better standard for our people . The had of God has given them pestilence after pestilence but they refuse to let our people go , soon they will be swept away like chaff in the hurricane of fury . Long live the republic of Akan and don't you forget it as now the Fanti speakers, Twi speakers, Ashantis and other tribes of Akan are now one .

The Minister is human. Those using his advocacy as a point of departure to buttress their argument are as reckless as he is. As Kwesi Pratt aptly opined, WHERE WILL THE LINE BE DRAWN. The erection of the toll booth was a recipe for lawlessness. Every one or group of persons at the whims and/or caprices will erect a structure on a thoroughfare to generate funds.
It was really bewildering when comments just after the demolition questioned the relevance of the Security Co-ordinator to the existence of the booth. The tollbooth was becoming a source disequilibrium and so became a security issue.
I had opportunity to contribute to the recent debate surrounding the saga of the alleged infestation of tilapia from Ghana and the Security Coordinator's pronouncement on the issue when most comments aversed to the fact that it was none of his business, forgetting that FOOD SECURITY is an integral part of the broader dictates of national security that is why Fishery related issues falls under DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY in the USA.
The pursuit of National Security embraces a whole range of issues and anything, omissions and or commissions that will disturb the social fabric, equilibrium, or bring about national discord becomes a security threat to a nation that is serious of its survival and must be dealt with speedily by all means possible because the interest of the majority always subsumes that of the minority. This is evidenced from the great proactive nations and the lackadaisical mediocre ones. The former will institute pre-emptive actions and damn the consequences whilst the latter will wait for divine interventions.

Maybe Legon could erect tolls but they don't have obstruct free circulation of the public to a situation where it becomes security nuisance.

DO NOT BE DECEIVED INTO THINKING THAT THE WHOLE OF GHANA IS NOT IN ANARCHY.
IN A COUNTRY WHERE THE LEADERSHIP HAVE CARVED OUT AN "ARTICLE NONSENSE OFFICE HOLDERS" CLIQUE BY CONSTITUTIONAL MEANS TO LOOT POOR OLD MOTHER GHANA, THAT'S WHAT YOU WOULD EXPECT.
OUR NATION "WILL NEVER SEE DAYLIGHT" IF WE DO NOT GET RID OF THOSE ARTICLE NONSENSE OFFICE HOLDERS CONSTITUTIONAL CLAUSES.
ANYWAY, WHEN ARE YOU GUYS PLANNING TO COMPLETE FURNISHING JJ RAWLING'S PLUSH BRAND NEW HOUSE BUILT BY THE GHANA TAX PAYER, AND GET KUFUOR AND JJ TO REFUND ALL THOSE STOLEN MONIES BELONGING TO "POOR OLD" MOTHER GHANA.

Mr. Pratt Your analysis doesn't make sense though I share your view regarding the demolition of the toll booth. The UG authorities would not use proceeds from the toll to purchase a computer or use it for other needs but to help maintain the road. How do you compare apples to oranges. If government fails to help Korle-bu acquire medical equipment, the only non-orthodox way for Korle-bu would be to increase cost of service delivery and NOT MOUNT TOLL for levies. Mr. Know all Kwesi Brat sometimes your analysis doesn't make sense at all.

Does road and traffic infrastructure come under national security now? In what capacity was Gbevlo writing to the university authorities, if in deed he did write. How come that it has taken this while for such information to come out? Gbevlo could have informed the world in his first interviews what he had done which precipitated his instructing his men to cause the criminal damage!
Even if the university authorities were doing something wrong, which we all supposed they were, and the national security outfit were concerned about the security implications, why did Gbevlo not use the appropriate channels to draw the university's attention to the situation? The university is under the ministry of Education, and there is also a government ministry in charge of roads. These were the channels Gbevlo could have consulted.
In most civilised countries, the people in charge of state security are rarely glamorised the way we do it in Ghana. The heads of the CIA, MI5 and KGB do not expose their identities so easily. Nobody ever comes out in the open to point out a member of the SAS until long after the retire from operations. Our Gbevlo should learn how to protect state security by staying out of politics and the unnecessary exposure he is attracting to himself. It is about time he was replaced, because it appears he has been at the post for too long and is now starting to flex his wings unnecessarily.

l also support the demolishing done by the sec. cordt. even though l favour the idea that institutions such as the u.g. could find other means of making good money, l do not subscribe to the road tolling. it cannot be so considering the current legislation concerning public roads vesting. the ug authorities also over privileged themselves by exempting themselves from the burden of paying for the same roads they would use more than any other persons/people. again the ug authorities should have known better the magnitude of political cost of their action of creating toll system in the university. so looking all of these one could conclude the subtle way the ug authorities are creating political problem for the government. and therefore the national security has considered appropriate to act this way.
